VW PUMA EV CONVERTIBLE – Very light with fiberglass body. My loss is your gain on this one. Health problems has forced me to abandon this project. It will be an awesome one of kind EV. Presently wired for 48 volts, with minimum controls. Powerful 96 Volt upgrade partsare included, but not installed. NO TITLE, bill of sale only. This car has never been titled in the USA. The car only has the number 18044 stamped on it under the hood which I believe it the VIN.I will NOT sell parts separately. The windshield has a mended repair and should be replaced. PRESENTLY INSTALLED: Electric motor is a GE 2cm77 military aircraft starter/generator motor compound wound (has both series and shunt windings). Batteries are MK powered 31sldg gel cell deep cycle batteries. I have not charged them in over a year. I planned to upgrade to a new NICAD battery bank. Existing controller is a Curtis 1205 48v 350 amp which is way too small for the motor. The back end had been reinforced to handle the weight of a load of batteries 48 volt contactor. 0-5k potentiometer pedal assembly installed, 48v 400 amp contactor installed (may handle more amps). A 48 to 12vdc reducer runs the lights. No EV gauges have been installed. The tires will have to be replaced for proper range. There is a mended repair to the windshield. Seats and dash are in good condition considering the age. BRAND NEW ITEMS INCLUDED BUT NOT INSTALLED: Heavy diamond plate for controls. Chennic Water Proof PFC onboard Battery Charger. Cheenic Disconnect Switch. Nanfeng 400amp 96 volt contactor with 12 volt coil. Navitas 96 volt controller. Accurate Tools DC to AC power inverter. 25 feet of WC-2/0 red welding cable with shrink tubing, boots, connectors, etc. 2 – Blue Sea 5502 Class T fuse blocks, 225-400 amps EV gauges & misc. as pictured. NOTE: The back of the motor has a cam and contact set on it which could be used for the tach. The vehicle is NOT operational. At this time as the batteries are not charged. Shipping is the sole responsibilityof the BUYER. The batteries will be secured for shipping. The top has the back plastic window out and the top is coming un-sewn. The metal frame work is fine. I have a light weight car cover that will protect it (notdesigned for a puma but should be fine during shipping). The CV boots do have dryrot.
