Very Rare Deluxe Delivery Great Restoration Project VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: VEHICLE HISTORY: My father purchased this project in 2001. He owned and restored many Model A Fords over the years and always wanted a Delivery. When purchased it was painted tan with green lettering and pinstripe. It was lettered: C.Z. Townsend, Quality Meats & Groceries, Millville, Del. My Dad painted it to resemble a Texaco Delivery Truck and parked it at our Museum with a sign on top. Over the years he had rear door body supports fabricated and put a new vinyl top on it to protect it from the weather. That’s as far as he got! We’ve maintained it so it runs and drives around our facility, but it is in need of a full restoration to bring it back to its former glory! VEHICLE CONDITION: We do a mechanical and cosmetic inspection to each vehicle before listing it for sale. This report is included below will provide a reasonable description of the vehicle condition. Older vehicles are subject to normal wear and tear and we have tried to indicate the overall condition of the vehicle to the best of our ability. But, we can not always find everything that is not perfect with a vehicle, so independent inspections are welcome and encouraged. We drive each vehicle approximately 20 miles, but this is no indication of its long term road-worthiness. The only guarantee with an older vehicle is that someplace, sometime, something will need repaired! INSPECTION REPORT: Year 1931 Make Ford Model A Sedan Delivery Ext. Color White/Red Int. Color Blue/Grey VIN Engine Number AC22204MD Tire Info 2 – Goodyear, 1 – Firestone, 1 – Federal Odometer 21,502 Actual N KEY: E = Excellent G = Good F = Fair P = Poor INTERIOR E G F P Comments: Upholstery X Seats recovered in blue fabric. Door panels torn, warped, and missing. Headliner X Original rexene material loose, torn and hanging down in places. Vinyl Top X Replaced at some time, and showing some scuffs. Floor Mat X Not there. Dash X Faded, scratched and chipped paint. Hole in left side top. Lights X Interior light not working. Instruments X Fuel gauge works. Panel faded, worn, and pitted. Horn X Works faintly with engine running. Cargo Area X X Original floor intact. Side panels are scuffed, scrapped, cut, and punctured. EXTERIOR E G F P Comments: Paint X Brush painted Texaco red & white. Body Panels X All original panels and fenders. Coachwork sag evident in cargo door and driver’s door. Various dents and corrosion. Bumpers X Painted silver. Rusty and bent. Trim X Radiator shell in fair shape. Outside door handles OK. Floors X X All wooden floors intact and solid, but cosmetically not so good. Sills X Sill plates corroded, pitted, and missing paint. Tires X They hold air, but are very old and cracked. Wheels X Painted black. Appear to be in good shape. Glass X X All glass intact with no cracks. Right door window crank handle broken. UNDERHOOD E G F P Comments: Fluids X All should be replaced. Belts X Old, needs replaced. Hoses/Lines X X Upper radiator hose OK, lower hoses cracking. Cooling System X X Water pump leaking. Charging System X Generator charges strong. Appearance X Left radiator upper brace rod broken. Needs cleaned and painted. MECHANICAL/ ELECTRICAL E G F P Comments: Engine X Starts and runs, but is fairly clattery. Carburetor rebuilt. Transmission X Transmission and clutch operate as expected. Electrical X Starter is good. Brakes X Stops as well as any Model A with mechanical brakes. Steering X Loose and worn. Lot of play in steering wheel on center. Wipers X Not working. No wiper arm. Lights X Only left front parking light works. UNDER E G F P Comments: Leaks X Water pump and front crankshaft at timing cover are leaking. Rust X No paint remaining on underside. All components solid, but rusty and pitted. Exhaust X Exhaust leak where exhaust pipe attaches to manifold. Surface rust on muffler and pipes. MISC. E G F P Comments: Running Boards X Very rusty and soft. Most of rubber gone. Fenders X Left front fender rusted through at headlight bracket. All fenders dented and beat up. Shocks X Only left rear has shock lever attached. TERMS OF SALE: An immediate PayPal $500 deposit is required upon purchased. The balance of a 25% deposit is required within 3 days from end of auction and full payment to be made within 10 from end of auction. Payment to be made by cash in person, or bank to bank wire transfer only. Personal, certified or bank checks are not accepted for payment. Overseas shipments and/or finance documentation will require an additional $100 fee to cover the time and costs associated with either of these items. You are responsible for shipping.
