Being relisted because I had an e-bay buyer who met my reserve, but who never cared to pay me. Tried to contact him, but he did not answer to my e-mail and his telephone was disconnected, a scammer. Selling at "NO RESERVE". A real 1949 Mercury 2 door sedan. 89,692 original miles. No rust through, only very light surface rust over gray primer. The motor is a 1972 Chevy 454 with no Edelbrock 750 cfm carb. with manual choke. Full MSD. Have the paper work that was done from the machine shop by the previous owner of the motor only that will be included. Roller rockers have been adjusted. 3" mandrel bent exhaust with flow masters. The trans is a 400. Inland drive shaft. The rear-end is stock that has been rebuilt with new brake hardware. The frontend is fully rebuilt, king pins, Jamco kit, 2" lowering springs that matches the motors weight, bushings, swaybar, Bilstein shocks and new front brake hardware. All 4 brake drums are in great shape, only 1 turn is required. Alum. radiator with shroud. All new brake lines and gas lines. ("MPB") power brake Booster with ("MPB") vacuum pump for 18 lbs of pressure. Carter electric fuel pump. The rear suspensions: new 3" de-arch leaf springs, new shocks and hardware. A rare 1949 Mercury grill from Canada (hard to find). The wipers are 2 speed Newport engineering. I do not have the wiper arms and blades. Has new 8 track put in where the radio was. Brand new 70 thousand mile white wall tires. The front-end has been lined-up. New blue carpet. I drove this car about 100 miles with no problems. VDO gauges, Lokar parts, painless wiring and their relays. Some windows do have cracks just the flat glass. I do not have the roof bows. The 2 doors close nice and the locks work. All the windows work. I do have the s/s Trim (not sure if all is there). I do have the front bumper, brackets and guard. I purchased these separately years after I got the car. The gas tank is super clean inside. Has left and right turn signals, 4 way flasher, angle eyes head lights, (high-low) horn, and brake lights of course. The motor has fresh oil and filter, fresh trans oil and fresh anti-freeze using distilled water (only). The trunk lid needs new springs on both side. I have two boxes of papers to show what was used. Lots and lots of excellent parts that was used on the car. The car has not been chopped. The bad part: I do not have a title but will give a bill of sale. My local DMV gave me complete papers to show that the numbers are clean and not altered or tampered with and a full VIN inspection shows clean numbers too. Front-end alignment report included.
