CONVERTIBLE QUESTION:I have planned/ this conversion for 25 +years. I found out where everyone else "screwed up". Like you can not use chevelle parts. "cutlass 68-69 abody is better". iN OTHER WORDS=this is the way the "factory built the three only proto-types. John deloreans was one of them. frame blasted and zinc based painted: frame is so clean (nos rust or scale)you can see all the factory "jig marks" welded/ boxed inner I-beams... 3/16 plating along flat outer frame (very sporty- stiff frame) custom hood: * custom "one of a kind" cowl induction hood.. over 100 hours in the making.. started w/new 70 chevelle cowl hood w/ door..a exoskeleton was built on outside hood...all three layers of metal look factory...custom air cleaner..tru -working cowl induction hood..4,000 rpm sounds great!!from drivers seat , you can see full air cleaner set-up. engine:350 4 bolt main- bored 30 over and balanced...6 qt mirodan oil pan (leaks some)..edelbrock rpm agile plug heads..rpm intake...flowmaster black delta-40, crane gold..full roller rockers, crane cam , moly rods, hooker headers, custom "earls gaskets, all gaskets are matched, $800 barry grant / demon carb , 650cfm/mech tuned. transmission:muncie m-20 , four speed w/new comp-plus shifter..shifts great! rear differential and suspension: rebuilt orig-12 bolt 2:73 open- hot tanked bearing and bushings, all new bushing "Polly" body mounts rubber ..needs e-brake, main cable, close-ratio steering box "cool"* all new stou brakes and lines, hd sway bars*boxed control arms * brand new 15 X8 corvette rally wheels * Custom goes grey metallic and cleaned * new t/a radials..new gas tank and sensors. Vintage air:new vintage air with polished compressors *installed in July of 2012 works great $2,500 *factory gauges need some work..soft circuit board? gas gauge works great..I installed $100 aftermarket gauges for the time being..I believe wires are good..custom alpine motorized head/face.." top shelf system". infinity dash speakers and custom wood boxed in rear convertible locations.. extra monster cable thru-out..from new gel-cel battery to a full rear amp and power,...$1,000 of custom dyna-mate "hidden". This car was set-up for a "booming sound system". Remember I'm "50 years old", Its all done right and tasteful!!
