For sale is a 1996 Chevrolet K-1500 Silverado Z-71 Stepside You are bidding on a 1996 Chevrolet K-1500 Silverado Z-71 Stepside. Due to recent changes in my job, I am travelling more and purchased a car to be more economical. I purchased this truck from the second owner in October of 2011 with approximately 42,000 original miles. The first owner purchased the truck brand new from a dealership, added a slew of after-market accessories, and then stored it until his son turned 16. He ended up selling it before his son turned 16 to the second owner, who purchased it with only approximately 14,000 miles!   It has been an awesome truck and has all the features this model offered, such as the Z-71 package, 4x4 drive train, keyless entry, 3rd door, aluminum wheels, AM/FM radio with cassette and CD player, and two tone paint. This truck has the fuel injected 5.7L Vortec V8 that dispenses plenty of power for a truck of this age.  I have all of the service records from the truck, from beginning to date, including the original, handwritten window sticker/bill of sale, invoices from all after-market work and accesssories, and any repairs performed. The only non-working accessory is the Warn winch, but I do have the original winch cable if someone is able to get it working.   As shown in the pictures, the cowl induction hood is a bit crinkled. Unfortunately, the hood was neglected to be latched one day and came open while driving, smashing the cowl induction into my windshield and crinkling the hood. The windsheild has since been replaced but the hood has not. That is the only damage this truck has encountered during my ownership.   I have put some work into it, including most recently new front brakes and rotors. Under my ownership I have replaced the serpentine belt, water pump, alternator, and one of the dual batteries. All four tires were replaced with new BF Goodrich All Terrain T/As in January of 2013 and have 15,000 miles on them. It performs great in the snow with these tires and four-wheel drive. The entire truck  has been taken care of and has always had the fluids changed on time. The only thing this truck needs is a good home.   Full payment must be made within 7 days of auction close.
