I have a 1997 Ford F-250 XLT Extended Cab, 4x4 with the 7.3 Turbo Diesel, 3/4 Ton, Manual 5 speed transmission, Manual Transfer Case, and Manual Locking Hubs. I don't think its a 3 door but thats the only option eBay would let me select. First and foremost, this truck is not running. It is a project. The engine is hydro locked and the electrical is not working right now. This is why the driver side window is taped up. It does have the window. Everything else is in pretty decent shape. Clear blue Texas title. The "issue" with the vehicle report is pertaining to the odometer issue. Just passed inspection in January 2014. Would be great for an engine swap or rebuild. The engine was rebuilt around 90k miles ago and the transmission was done before that. I don't know the exact odometer reading as it is Texas Exempt and the electrical was out when I bought it. Needs batteries, turbo will need to be cleaned very well or rebuilt. The handle for the transfer case is broken, not the transfer case itself, just the shift handle. Should be a simple fix, just swap the handles. Needs new E-brake cable. I'm not sure what the engine needs and I've gotten as far as cleaning up the intake, drained and replaced all of the fluids(Engine, Trans, and Rear Diff.) As far as I can tell there is no crack in the block or the heads, I drained the oil, flushed it and refilled it, let it sit overnight and when I drained it there was nothing but oil. No water, coolant, or anything. I also took off the valve covers and everything seems in order. My best guess is it needs a new computer, maybe a crankshaft(which I found for 350 on ebay) or it bent a rod. I am not a mechanic so I'm not sure, just trying to be as honest and thorough as possible. I have replaced 95% of the fuses, everything except the diode. Most of the interior dash is taken apart(All of the pieces are still there) since I was cleaning it or it was cracked. Some water got inside the cab so the carpet probably needs to be pulled. Needs a new rear passenger tire and the bed has a dent in front of that tire. Has a bedliner and headache rack. There is NO longer a toolbox. I know there is one in the pictures but it has since been removed. If you have any questions please let me know! Truck will be sold as is, where is.
