Vehicle Detail
1992 Toyota Camry LE Sedan 4-Door 2.2L 4CYL White Exterior with Gray Interior. This car was my daily driver for the past 5-6 years. It is a good driver and was a very dependable vehicle during the time that I drove it daily. With a little bit of maintenance, a tune up, a few parts, and some TLC this vehicle could continue to be a good daily driver for someone. Or, if you need a parts vehicle, this would be a great one. It's really a good car that just needs some maintenance. The car has not been driven very much over the past year, but I have kept it in running condition. The Good: The car is driveable. The engine runs smoothly…always had the oil changed every 3,000 miles. This car averages 30-35 miles per gallon...you can easily get 400 miles on a single tank. Timing belt was replaced at around 100,000 miles. This car also had a new transmission put in at around 175,000 miles. Transmission is great, shifts smoothly and quietly. Three of the tires on the car are brand new…less than 1,000 miles on them. The driver's side rear tire is very well used. It has a lot of miles on it and it needs to be replaced. There is very little tread on this tire, basically bald. The brakes are good. The brakes were done around 5,000 miles ago, so they should be good for a while. The sunroof functions perfectly…both tilt and fully open settings work fine. Power locks and windows work as well. The factory cassette player/radio was replaced years ago with a Pioneer CD player/radio. The speakers (front and rear) are original to the car. There is a full size spare tire included, along with the factory jack and tire iron. These items are all in their specified locations inside the trunk. The Not-So-Good: There are two mechanical issues with this vehicle that need to be addressed. First, the muffler/exhaust system needs to be looked at. When cranked, the car is louder than it should be and this is due to a problem with the muffler. I think it is something very simple…the muffler has either come partially disconnected from the engine or it needs a new muffler…I'm not sure which. Second mechanical issue is with the steering. The car drives perfectly, but when making a very sharp turn there is a clicking sound coming from the front steering system. I'm not sure what the problem is, but it does not currently affect the way the car drives. The clicking sound is only heard when making a very sharp turn, such as turning into a driveway, parallel parking, or pulling into/backing out of a parking space. Overall the car is in decent cosmetic condition for its age. There are numerous small dings, dents and scratches on the front and rear bumpers as well as along the sides. The car has minor damage to the front driver's side headlight. Someone backed into the car while it was parked on the street. This damage is easily repairable…all you need is the replacement light. I just have not repaired the light, as I no longer drive this vehicle. The plastic on the driver's side tail light also has a small crack...does not affect the function of the tail light at all. In addition to the headlight damage, the door handles for the two front doors need to be replaced. Currently, these two door handles do not work, due to the age of the plastic. The front passenger door handle was so brittle that it broke off. The driver's side is still in place, but a piece of the internal plastic is broken and the handle is not functional. Both front doors open, as the latches open from the inside of the car. Basically, to enter the car through the front doors you either have to leave a window down or go through one of the back doors and reach the front door latch from the inside. Inconvenient, but easily repairable. The latch on the glove compartment is broken and needs to be replaced. The glove box door is currently tied shut with fishing line. There is also a small crack in the glass windshield on the lower passengers side (shown in the very last picture). The crack does not leak and it does not effect the drivability of the vehicle. This air conditioning is functional, but currently blows only hot air...the freon needs to be recharged. The car also needs new windshield wiper blades. PAYMENT & SHIPPING: I will accept Paypal. If you choose to pay with a cashier's check/money order, we will arrange transfer once the check has cleared...NOT before. Buyer will be required to pick up this vehicle. The car is driveable, but the buyer may want to trailer this vehicle...that is what I would recommend until you can have a mechanic give it a once-over. THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS-IS. THERE WILL BE NO RETURNS ACCEPTED. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
