1974 Honda CB750 K4 in Rare "Freedom Green" Metallic 13839 miles (Build date 7/73) ***Low Reserve-Original*** Matching Vin# CB750-2308853 and Motor# CB750E-23008554 Description: Offering from my Honda collection an IMMACULATE, ORIGINAL and CLASSIC 1974 CB750. Bike runs and rides as close to new as possible. Starts immediately, shifts smooth, idles great. All lights, signals, gauges, horn, signal lights and even the signal buzzer work properly. READY TO RIDE or one to add to your collection. The engine sounds great through the factory original exhaust. Please analyze the photos - they tell the tale of a great 40 year old unmolested bike. This a classic example of show quality CB750...even the stock pipes HM341 (headers-no bluing, rust) looks new with no dents, holes or patches with chrome in excellent shape and still with the factory baffles. No smoking. Factory tool kit and owner's manual are still under the seat. 1 Original Key included. All chrome looks great for a 40 year old Bike. No oil/gas leaks. I have seen a lot of early CB750s with hair line fractures on the engine casing, common from the stress. This engine casing is clean, with no hairline fractures or cracks. The original tires did have dry rot so they were replaced with new Dunlop K70 classic look tires with new inner tubes for road safety. It is evident the Bike was kept indoors and properly taken care of as the rubbers, paint surface all look good without fading. Please note, the water stain on the ground around the center stand is from condensation dripping from the pipes...the pictures/video were taken Saturday, March 8, 2014 approx. 2pm. The weather was sunny/cloudy and 65 degrees. Both side covers are original Honda OEM covers with no cracks, chips. Paint is original . All decals and tabs are intact. Seat pan and seat cover are original with no tears or wrinkles. Carburetors were professionally dismantled, cleaned and synced using a sync gauge. All Decals are originals, missing only the chain guard decal. Newer Battery. Starts and Idles perfect. I will rate the Bike as 9.00 out to 10. You will have to enjoy the Bike in person. I own a few and this one stands up there. I have taken a lot of pictures (ALL pictures taken from Sony DSLR and Panasonic digital cameras on Saturday, March 8, 2014. in normal daylight) but if you like me to take a picture which you have not seen here, please let me know...this also goes to any questions you may as well. I will get back as soon as possible. As a buyer, I know how important it is to get your questions responded to..I have been there... The following YouTube link has a short video of the startup and revs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAOnpr8jioY History: I bought the CB from the an individual in PA. The previous owner bought this bike from a collector in Richmond, VA. I had to buy it for my collection as it was all original in amazing condition. After buying it, I bought a few more CB750s and this one needs to go. The paint "freedom green metallic" is original from 1974 (never been repainted) and one of the 3 colors stock from 1974. The other two colors are Flake Sunrise Orange and Boss Maroon Metallic. The Paint is good condition with no noticeable fading which shows the Bike was stored inside. I didn't want to repaint the bike as to retain the nostalgia and her originality. The tank looks good with no dents, chips. Tank trim is fine as well. Tank has a slight decal scratch on the top left of the tank. Previous owner stated that the tank was cleaned and coated (coating dark brown, see picture not rust) . No evidence of rust inside the tank. This CB750 is a hard to find in this original condition. It's unmolested and presents itself as a nearly new stock bike with yellow factory markings. It has a clean PA title and current Bill of Sale. Flaws: I like to disclose to the best of my knowledge the flaws.... Tank has a slight decal scratch on the left top of the tank. Slight dent (1/5 inch) on the front fender chrome. Also left wire outer plastic sheath has a slight one inch tear due to age, covered with one inch tube sheath. Bidding/Payment: A $1000.00 deposit (non-refundable) will be required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check.
