This is a very rare 1933 Buick four door sedan, 60 series, model 67, of which very few were ever produced because it was at the height of the great depression. There are only a handful in existence today in any condition. It's not the smaller 50 series, which was more plentiful. In the next year, 1934, Buick had to cheapen up the cars with an even smaller 40 series and compete with Chevrolet, yet the company still almost went broke. They couldn't afford to retool for a new design in 1935, so they continued building the exact same cars for two years. This 1933 Buick is originally from the dry desert of Yakima, Washington. I bought it from the second owner 15 years ago and kept it in an enclosed garage ever since. The title is from 1937. The odometer shows around 96,500 miles which is probably accurate. It runs and drives, but it needs a total restoration. The interior is shot because the previous owner's son started tearing off the door panels and seat covers to replace them, but never did. Most of the glass will need to be replaced because of delamination from age and cracks. The doors all open and close easily, so the wooden structure appears solid. The canvas roof was also removed, as you can see in the pictures. The faux wood grain dash had also been repainted when I got the car. The previous owner replaced the two piece manifold with a late '30s one-piece in order to use a more dependable down draft carburetor. GM was experimenting with different carburetors and automatic chokes in the early '30s, and they weren't all dependable. The car also has a so-called wizard control button on the floor, which I believe was a type of overdrive or ability to shift without the clutch when going into high gear. This feature was also discontinued the same year. I have the original heater and radio in a box. The same goes for the ash tray and robe rail from the rear seat. I have the rear seat arm rests, too. Some extra parts go with the sale......extra headlight, lenses, manuals. The optional flying goddess radiator cap shown in some of the pictures is worth over $500 and does NOT go with the car, but it will be for sale separately. All six 7.00 x 17 tires have been replaced. Please look at the photos and ask questions, if you have any. I used to be a member of the Buick club, so I know that the car is rare. I don't really want to sell the car, but I can't afford to restore it, either........so I'm hoping it finds a new home.
