Up for auction is a 1977 Chevrolet Corvette. This car has 88,248 miles on it and that will increase as I drive this car as often as I can. The L-48 350 cube engine runs perfectly. The Quadrajet carb does it's job well and performs just as it should. The transmission shifts correctly and the rear is quiet. This Corvette was originally Competition Orange but somewhere a previous owner painted her British Racing Green. She looks good from twenty feet but if you get close the paint is starting to show it's age. For a really nice Corvette I would paint it. There are chips and scratches so don't expect a perfect paint job. This Corvette has 88,248 true miles on her and I can prove that through old state inspection and repair records that were kept. This Corvette is an original L-48 Corvette with an automatic transmission. She just had all new rear brake rotors, calipers, pads, emergency brake cables and new brake lines installed so the brakes are ready to go. She also just had a new battery installed. There is also a new stereo/radio/CD player in the dash. Many of the Corvette guys want to know: 1) Do the wipers work? Yes! 2) Do the headlamp doors open? Yes but very slowly. I usually stop and help them up if I need them. 3) Does the A/C work. No, there is no belt on the compressor and it was that way when I bought the Corvette. She has T-Tops! This Corvette is a North Carolina car so no rust or rot on the frame or any underneath parts. The Corvette has her original engine and transmission. No fancy carburetors, exhaust or wheels like many Corvettes get. She is just like Chevrolet built her with the exception of the radio and paint. She has not been restored but has been kept as a driver. I would keep her but need the funds to finance another classic car project. This Corvette does have a reserve and I will not disclose that reserve. Bid what you can afford as she will be offered with a cheap reserve. Also I have the car advertised locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time unless the reserve is met. Once met the auction becomes binding so I expect you to honor your bid. I DO NOT negotiate after the high bid has been accepted. I have a clear North Carolina title in MY NAME ready but it will not be signed and the car will not leave my property until funds have cleared my bank. A $500 Non refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction. The buyer is responsible for all transportation and shipping costs. This Corvette I being sold as-is with no warranty of any kind. If you want a great C3 Corvette driver for not a lot of money give this car a look.
