Vehicle Detail
Under the hood: $8000 worth of work done in 2011/2012. Rebuilt '95 Jeep motor. The cylinders were bored out to 4.6L, giving it approximately 240HP and 280 ft-lbs of torque at 2400 RPM. This thing moves and sounds awesome! The following are also new: clutch, exhaust, carburetor, alternator, ignition, distributor, water pump, air cleaner, Optima Red battery (holds a charge through long periods of dormancy.) Only 375 miles since the completion of the rebuild. No power steering, no power brakes, the parking brake does not work. There is a very small oil leak that appears to originate from the drain plug - only a few drops per month. Exterior: Beautiful shape - no dents, rust, or evidence of bondo. I added the family-style roll bar (powder-coated black) from Super Scout Specialists. The hardtop is in good (but not perfect) shape - it's missing a few of the bolts that mount it to the body (but it's perfectly stable), and the lock to the rear window does not work so the window is currently unable to be closed/latched completely. 29x10.5 Super Swamper tires. There is a scratch on the windshield - almost like a stone once got caught in the wiper. It's not noticeable while driving and it's not deep. Interior: Beautiful upholstery, floor mats, etc. New dash panel and gauges. 400-watt amp and large speaker box in the back. The radio recently stopped working and needs to be replaced. I had shoulder belts installed on both front and both rear seats - perfect for family cruising. There is no A/C. Video: I have a short walkaround/start-up video on Vimeo so you can hear the motor running but I can't post it on eBay. I can email you the link if you contact me. In-person inspection and test drive: I work from home, so you can come by just about anytime if you're local. Payment: $2000 Paypal deposit required within 24 hours of auction close. Balance due within 72 hours of auction close via wire transfer, certified bank check, or cash in person. This is an as-is transaction. Shipping: The buyer is responsible for arranging shipping if needed. I will be available to facilitate pick-up any day of the week. Title: I will overnight the signed title and a bill of sale to the buyer upon receipt of payment. VIN: It will not appear on Carfax, but it is the "Serial No." physically located on the vehicle and on the title. Included extras: Custom-fit, all-weather car cover; 2 "Scout II" side emblems from Super Scout Specialists; replica Owner's Manual; extra set of blank IH-branded keys; original lap belts, dash/gauges; spare tire/cover. If you have any questions or need any further information, please feel free to let me know. I have described the Scout as truthfully and accurately as I can and have listed all of the imperfections/issues that I'm aware of. Thanks for looking!
