Rear block casting # 3782870 still has road draft tube.1962 Corvette Original style mechanical Fuel Injection set up, Double hump heads or camel backsSolid lifter Comp Cam, Headers, Cut Outs and Dual Exhaust.The Rear End is a 3:36 factory P case Posi rear end. The Transmission and Shifter are the Original style 1963 M20 Muncie 4spd. 2:56 first gear. The wheels are 16" polished torque thrust and the Tires are 235 60 R 16 This car has had a Frame ON Restoration approximately 10 years ago ?So this is not a fresh new restoration. The car still has stock 4 wheel Drum Brakes. ( Disc brakes would be a nice upgrade ! )All the Lights,Signals & Gauges work.The car has mainly been a week end driver & driven to local car shows.The Impala is painted red oxide on the underside and black on the frame. The car is a very nice driver quality car & could be cleaned up again underneath to look very nice. The underside is rust free with no patches. It has original floors & braces, inner rockers, trunk sheet metal. The frame is very nice & has never been cut ! The out side paint was originally adobe beige and is now painted close to the factory 1963 Ember Red color and shines very nice but is a driver and has some wear and imperfections. The interior has the original black vinyl Super Sport bucket seat package which has some minor flaws & wear but still very nice. It has a factory working radio, and a stock SS chrome console for the 4spd. also a working factory dash tach. The car also has factory power steering. The bumpers could have been Re-chromed at sometime and look good and shine nice but have some normal wear. The trim and emblems also appear to be mostly original and show some wear & patina. The rear and side glass are clear LOF originals and have some minor flaws. The Windshield looks to have been replaced at some point with a PPG shaded glass.This Impala gets lots of attention with the Red color, 4 speed and the Fuel Injection! The car runs & drives out nice and is fun to drive.The car has also won several trophies at the some of the local car shows. I have tried to describe the car as best as I can.But you are encouraged to look at it in person or send a representative in your behalf to check it out. The car was purchased about 3 years ago and was very much in this condition. I have put less than 2 thousand miles on the car since I have owned it. The Engine,Transmission & Rear End do not appear to be freshly rebuilt as far as I can tell and I have not opened them up to know what is inside.This is all I really know and can tell you about the car.
