Two years ago I purchased this bike from the daughter of the original owner who had passed away. This bike was his baby and it shows in the way it has been cared for. It was always stored in a climate-controlled area and very well maintained. I rode it quite a bit and tried to maintain it right too. I put in a new battery a year ago and replaced the regulator and headlight lens which was cracked. I didn't like the handlebar grips so I bought OEM original grips. The original owner had replaced the mufflers and tires just before he died too. Last June I was in a bad accident with another motorcycle and suffered a severely broken leg and don't expect to ride this BMW again, so I'm offering it for sale. I have thoroughly enjoyed owning this one. It's a long wheel base. The engine runs very well with no smoke and starts easily. The other owner installed some very loud horns which work well. All the tools are in the pouch. I don't think the tire pump works, but it's there. For some reason one of the mirrors has a longer stem than the other one. I am not aware of any problems, but the bike is 42 years old and you should consider that. It hasn't been restored, just taken care of. I don't know for sure if the paint is original, but it looks like it, and has had some touch-ups. There are a few scratches. The fuel tank is very clean inside. I will accept cash or money orders, and I will require a $1000 deposit via PayPal within 48 hrs after the auction ends. The balance will be required before delivery and the title is released. I will help load it, but the buyer will be responsible for arranging the shipment if that's necessary. I am in northeast Nebraska.
