Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1980 Honda CM200T TwinStar. "The CM200T (also known as the Twinstar) was a twin cylinder motorcycle produced by Honda from 1979 to 1984 as part of its factory "Custom Motorcycle" lineup. The CM200's design was based on the Honda CD200 RoadMaster. The engine was a 194cc parallel twin and had a 360 degree layout that used a single ignition coil and single round-slide carburettor. Early models used a 6v electrical system with contact condensor ignition, whereas later models used a 12v system. All models had a 4-speed manual transmission. It had a speedometer that read up to 80 mph, with markings indicating the maximum speed for each gear ratio. Another instrument panel had lights for Neutral, Indicators and High Beam, but no tachometer was provided. Power was around 16 bhp, which gave it a top speed of around 71 mph, although a popular modification was to change the front gearbox sprocket from 15 to 16 teeth which increased top speed to around 75 mph given good conditions, and could comfortably cruise at 60 mph."This bike is mostly all there, does kick over and seems to have great compression, but not running yet. The bike is missing the keys. She was sitting for many years, and all I have done was clean her up. The bike has a transferable Vermont registration that serves as a title in the state of Vermont in my name. I am going to let the slideshow and pictures do the talking.
