Vehicle Detail
Relisting because prior bidder could not complete the purchase. So this time I shall state what I assumed to be evident. This is a used vehicle being sold by it's owner. I am not a dealer and cannot ship the vehicle. It is the buyer's responsibility to pick up the vehicle (zip code 07419) after payment is made in full. Unless you have your own means of towing, or arrange for towing, expect to drive this home. The vehicle is currently insured and registered but both will be cancelled at the sale and the plates/tags do not go with the vehicle in NJ as they may in some other states. I cannot store the vehicle, and it must be paid it full before it, or the title, is released and it must be picked up ASAP. The condition of the vehicle is based on my understanding having owned it for the last year. I am not a professional mechanic or a psychic; it is possible that issues exist that I am not yet aware of or have forgotten. I have describe this vehicle to the best of my ability. There is no warranty what so ever. You buy-it; it is yours. Having said all of that, I've previously "junked" vehicles after I was done with them because their time was up. I am selling this one because I believe it still has potential to serve the right buyer. This Durango runs reliably but does need work due to it's age and mileage. It is driven daily thus the mileage is an estimate, slightly higher than the current reading. The v8 is powerful for it's size and the 4wd makes this vehicle very snow capable. As shown in the pictures, it still looks good but there is rust taking its toll. The rockers are essentially gone, door corners and rear hatch are beginning to rust as well. The frame however is surprisingly clean. I've only had the vehicle for a year, so I do not know the history of this vehicle. Due to the rust I would not expect fixing this 100% to be practical, instead I would recommend this vehicle for someone that needs good transportation and 4wd but is on a modest budget and does their own mechanical work. The starting price in lieu of a reserve reflects this. I recently replaced the front pads and rotors, power steering pump and hoses, shocks and heater core. I have a new muffler and tailpipe not yet installed. The existing exhaust is rusty and the muffler is starting to peel off the outer layer, thus I purchased the new pieces. Despite this it is still very quiet. Check engine light is on, reads a code for inefficient operation of catalytic. The new muffler is not yet installed because I was debating buying the cat before a family friend offered me his car. In addition to the rust mentioned there are small dents and dings in the hood and fenders. The leather seats appear to have been added by prior owner from another Durango. The driver seat is worn but OK, the rest are very good, including the 3rd row (usually folded down). Rear tires are Cooper AT3 a nice aggressive tire with about 65% tread. The front tires were on it when I got it and are should be replaced. The spare is on the same aluminum rim as the other tires, not a cheap steel spare. I'm available most evenings if you want to inspect prior to bidding.
