The Ambassador 990 convertible was the top of the line AMC model in 1966. This is a very unique project car since there were only 3499 built that year. It is originally from Alabama which explains the solid undercarriage and frame. The floor pans and trunk are in good shape as well. It was built with the 270hp 327 V8 4-bbl option and still has the factory transmission and 12 bolt rear end. The car is complete minus the windshield and back seat. It is partly disassembled as it was in the process of being restored. The motor will have to be rebuilt as it hasn't been started in several years.
