Up for sale is a 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 2dr Coupe that runs and drives and is registered until 8/8/14. The Corvair unlike most American cars has the engine in the trunk and it was coined as "the poor man's Porsche", there are limited amounts of Corvairs left because they were recalled thus making it an even more collectible car. I have to sell the car because I'm moving out of town, I have had the car for about 6 months and within that time I have replaced both carburetors, 2 fuel lines, the oil cooler, fuel pump, fuel filter, oil filter and battery connector cable the rest is an easy fix for the right person. All work was done by a professional mechanic and I haven't driven more than 100 miles since replacing said parts, I also have new in box a heavy duty starter and a new master cylinder. The vehicle is a great car very fun to drive, because of the cars age it doesn't need to be smogged. The car would need to be towed away because the brakes need to be replaced, the starter needs to be replaced but I have a new better starter that comes with the car. The radio/speakers are gone same with the two side mirrors and the headliner. There are some dents and bondo, the hood is painted white and the body is mainly blue but has some other colors as well. The upholstery is torn. The car shifts through gears but kind of lurches, and the tires have around 20 percent life left.
