Vehicle Detail
Okay guys up for auction is a 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J. This car was originally built Liberty Blue and is still Liberty Blue. That is a rare color to find in any condition. This Grand Prix was restored several years ago and while she looks good from 10 feet away you can obviously see she needs a few things now. But she still looks good at the cruise in and she has gone several times. First the good, the body panels are straight and the Liberty Blue paint shines like a new penny. Both doors are rust free and open and shut with ease. The wheels are restored Pontiac Rally Wheels with brand new BF Goodrich white letter tires. There are headers with a great sounding exhaust system with stainless steel tips coming out the back. This car drives great on a back road or on the highway. The interior is in wonderful shape. The front and rear seats have been recovered in correct material and look brand new. The carpet is the original one but shows how well this car was cared for. The vinyl roof is less than one year old and looks immaculate. Now the issues. There are a few bubbles coming out right where the vinyl roof moldings meet the paint. This is due to some well intentioned individual using sheet metal screws to hold the moldings on instead of doing the job correctly. Please see the pictures. I have a complete set of vinyl roof moldings without screw holes that will go along with the car if sold. There are a few bubbles on the trunk lid. On one of the interior pictures you will see a tachometer where the original clock should be. I have the original clock and will include it if the car is sold. Now the engine and the transmission. The transmission and rear are original to the car and both work flawlessly. The engine was replaced sometime in her past but I do have the original engine. The original 400 ran fine until a burned piston happened. The engine was removed and replaced with a 400 Pontiac V-8 from a mid seventies Trans-Am. This Trans-Am engine must have been a high miler as you can tell she is old and tired. While there is no smoke from the exhaust I would be careful with this engine. As for the original 400, I have everything to rebuild it including a crankshaft kit and a new camshaft. If you are truly interested I will send pictures of the original engine with the parts to rebuild her. Long story made short, this is a 69 Grand Prix in a rare color that does not need that much to be a beautiful show winning ride again. I have seen much worse sell for much more than I am asking. Everything is here all you need is your labor. If you have questions you can email me through Ebay and I will give you my cell phone number so we can talk. Now for the necessary Ebay stuff. If you have good feedback and are a good bidder please disregard the rest of this ad. If you have less than a positive 10 feedback please email me BEFORE you bid. If you do not I will delete your bid. I WILL NOT negotiate after your winning bid is placed. A $500 Non Refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Once you win the auction you will be expected to contact me within 24 hours to arrange pickup. This car is sold as-is where is and no warranty is expressed or implied. This car is sold in North Carolina and he winning bidder is expected to arrange transportation on your own. I can and will help in loading the original engine and extra parts. There is a buy it now but there is no reserve so you bid you own. Lastly the mileage shown is 64,610. I have no records to indicate that is correct mileage or 164K or even 264K. The mileage is what it is. Thank You for viewing my auction and enduring the last paragraph.
