Vehicle Detail
This beautiful automobile just needs a little work from the right person to reach its former glory again. This Oldsmobile possesses a smooth ride and a problem-free 3.1 L V6 engine with under 53,000 miles on the odometer. Add cruise control and you have a vehicle made for comfortable road trips. Other great features include a new battery and remarkably clean upholstery and interior for its age. My father-in-law bought this vehicle for my wife in 2011 and she brought it to Virginia. Prior to that, I believe an elderly woman used the car as a Sunday driver. He signed the title over to us in July 2012 after we married. We have the title in hand. The vehicle is smoke free. It has suffered no water damage. We have not had it in an accident since we bought it, though a small deer leapt into the passenger's side quarter panel in December 2011. This car presents a unique opportunity to an enterprising mechanic or and Oldsmobile lover looking for an enjoyable restoration. The driver's seat belt needs replaced. The lap belt works, but the spring on the shoulder belt has failed. The driver's door handle has come loose from the door. The driver's door lock will not unlock from the outside. If you unlock the door from the inside, the latch will still open the door from the outside. The windshield defroster vent has broken loose from the dashboard in places. The power locks do not currently work. The radio only plays static and the display does not work. I believe the power locks and the radio both result from a wiring issue. There are a couple of dents where the driver's door meets the rear quarter panel from a misguided attempt to fix the lock issue. The driver's side marker light shattered and was removed as the result of street parking. The driver's side front quarter panel has begun showing signs of rust near the wheel well. There is a dent in the hood where the hood meets the lights. The passenger's side front quarter panel has a large dent and has shown signs of rust from where a small deer leapt into the vehicle in December 2011. Despite a rough few years, I believe this vehicle has years of life remaining with the right owner.
