This is a 1965 Chevrolet custom truck that is on a 1979 Chevrolet 4x4 truck frame. This is the fancier model for the year and it is a custom. it has all the bells and whistles to it. This has a 305 high output engine in it combined with a 350 turbo transmission. It also has the good 205 transfer case in it as well. The motor has been rebuilt a few years ago and there is a stamp on the block to prove it. The transmission is also good. There was only 40,000 miles on this drive train before the rebuild. However I have removed the wiring harness in order to install the cab onto the frame so the truck will not start right now due to the lack of a wiring harness. that is an easy fix though and I can find a way to prove this truck runs if you purchase it. now to the body. This truck has the common rust issues but is in much better shape than most of them out there! needs new floor pans. also needs new rockers and the rear quarter of the front fenders (see pictures). the bed is rust free! just needs new wood. you can even re use the strips in the bed. there is a small crease on the top part of the bed on the passenger side but can be fixed easily. I have not mounted the bed to the frame yet as you can see it sits lower than the cab. I was going to wait til I got the wood put in it to mount it.
