Vehicle Detail

::Full disclosure on this motorcycle:: There is not a title for this motorcycle. The motor number has been obviously changed at some point. The motor is a 1970 model The frame has no numbers on it. We believe this was a replacement frame purchased through a dealer  Although this motorcycle starts and runs, the gauges need to be fixed. This is a 500cc Triumph street racer with some really nice parts on it. The front brake is a Fontana dual drum, made of magnesium. This is the same type of front brake Gary Nixon used on his factory racer to win the Daytona 200 in 1967. The brake alone would fetch $3k easily. They are next to impossible to find and VERY desirable. The front forks are 35mm Ceriani. The fuel tank is a real Tri-cor racing tank, like the one Nixon used. The hubs are laced to Borrani record rims. The motor is fed by dual Delorto carburetors. This could be turned into a fantastic vintage road racer. This bike starts easily and runs. We have rode it up and down the street. The motor is strong and sounds really good. This bike had been sitting for sometime, and it was brought to us to make it run and ride again. Since it was originally built, not that many miles were put on it, the 1960 miles shown on the odometer are believed to be close to correct. The gauges are not in working order. There is no tachometer or tachometer cable; and the speedo does not function. There is more work to be done before this bike can pass a safety inspection. We checked over the motor, refreshed the fluids, and wired the bike up. The brakes and suspension were also serviced and brought back to good working order. This bike does not have a battery. It uses points ignition with a capacitor. In order for the lights to work better, it may be necessary to wire in a battery. There are a lot of custom touches to this bike. Runs, rides, and shifts great. Again, there is not a title for this motorcycle. If you are bidding from outside the USA, it will be difficult to get customs clearance to export this.
