Vehicle Detail

For sale is my much-beloved 1996 Porsche 911, known as the 993, or The King of Porsche. Pre-Purchase inspections are encouraged, at buyer's expense. I can connect you with my Porsche mechanic, or take it to an independent Porsche service for inspection. The good: It is a Porsche, and the last, collectible air-cooled 911. These were built to run forever, so peruse rennlist or talk to your local Porsche mechanic to check on the durability of these vehicles. It is fast as heck, but more importantly handles like a dream in the corners without all of the electronic interface of recent sports cars. The engine feels incredible strong, and the controls are extremely tight. This is an amazing driving experience. Check out the pics for visuals. Front wheels have about 5,000 miles on them, and the rear have under 1,000. Adult owned, and responsibly driven, at least during my ownership. The upgrades: 997 turbo-look 18" wheels with wider rubber and lighter weight than the 17" stock wheels, for improved performance. Bilstein shocks all around for updated and improved handling and adjustability. Large, permanent rear spoiler, although I also have the original OEM raising and lowering spoiler. Upgraded stereo and speakers. HID headlights and fog lights. New fuel tank pressure valve. New belts. Aluminum pedals with throttle extension for easier heel-and-toe driving. New battery that is always kept on a trickle charger. Always garaged, and I even avoided driving in the rain. Included: OEM spoiler (functionality unknown, but paint condition is excellent), 3 keys and 2 remotes, spare DME and a few relays, spare window actuator switch, 993 manuals and the Essential Companion book with tons of DIY maintenance information. The negative: The usual rock chips on the bonnet, again see the pictures. There is a heavy scuff on the underside of the front bumper that the PO told me was from exiting a steep parking garage. There is a scratch on the right rear wheel from swerving into the gravel shoulder to avoid a deer at night (I'll gladly take that over hitting a deer). Everything electronic seems to work perfectly, with the exception of the cruise control. The PO who installed the new spoiler appears to have removed the "Carrera" badge from the engine cover and left light marks so that Carrera can be seen from close up. I did not attempt to polish this off, as I did not want to damage the paint. Payment and delivery: I will accept any payment from a U.S. buyer that I can confirm with my bank as fully factual (cash, cashier's or bank check, money order from approved buyer, or even a personal check). That said, due to the fraud in the world, I will not transfer ownership until my bank is completely satisfied that the payment has been received in full without possibility of reversal. I am happy to deliver to a shipper after payment is received, or deliver for reimbursement my cost of delivery within a day's drive of Little Rock, AR. Please contact me prior to bidding to confirm arrangements. Please contact me with questions, and I will answer to the best of my ability. Thank you for looking, and have a great day.
