Vehicle Detail

WHITE DOVE'S ESTORE "Not by Might, Nor by Power, but by My Spirit declares the LORD" Authentic 2005 HONDA CBR 1000RR REPSOL w/ Upgrades I really don't know where to start with the description of the bike. There has been so very much done to it above what you would do with a normal bike. First, the mileage is just under 4500 miles. The exhaust is a full racing exhaust system not just the cans, Gp moto racing style; here is a link for that: http://www.motostarz.com/filter-by-bike/honda/04-07-cbr1000rr/arrow-pro-race-twin-replica-full-exhaust-system-2004-2007-honda-cbr1000rr.html. Additionally, it has the Power Commander 3 in the tail section. It has a tail tuck and integrated rear brake light, so when you turn on your signal half of the brake light turns yellow and blinks the direction you are turning. It has small led turn signals upfront. I left the front headlight light stock though I wanted to change it to HID. It has frame sliders, race stand pegs, and it is just an awesome bike all the way around. I had it shipped out from California about a year and half ago. I don't have the passenger seat though you can buy one on ebay for around $30. I don't ride with passengers on this bike so it was never an issue. It's been garage kept. Maintenance and service I do all on my own. (Though I haven't changed to oil yet for the season coming up). I clean the chain with kerosene and relube on a month to month basis when I ride. (though again I haven't for this upcoming season I don't obviously ride it in the winter). The bike has never been downed. It has a clean title. There might be minute scratches or rubs here and there that I wouldn't see but nothing a good detailing couldn't fix. Please if you have any questions, or you see any mods on the bike that I forgot the pictures are what's on the bike. The front tire on the bike is new it's not the same one that's on it in the photos. On Jan-16-14 at 19:32:51 PST, seller added the following information: We will work with you if you need help with shipping I do still have the information to the motorcycle carrier that brought the bike from California to Boston for me. He was a good guy and I could forward you the information. At that time it only cost me $500 to ship it clear across the U.S. It was door to door residential delivery because it wasn't an 18 wheeler. On Jan-17-14 at 14:08:38 PST, seller added the following information: This is a walk around of the bike for the people bidding or interested in purchasing it On Jan-18-14 at 09:05:22 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to state that the battery and front tire are new this last season the rear one is fine as you can see in the video as well. I'm pretty sure that I mentioned the front tire on the bike in the video but honestly I try to keep all of my vehicles with great maintenance so I don't think of all these small things to detail them in the listing. RESERVE!WHAT IS THE RESERVE PRICE SET AT? People are wanting to know what the reserve price is set at on the bike. I don't mind telling everyone exactly what it's at and possibly even tell you the best way to bid to purchase the bike so you win. First, anytime I buy something on ebay, I look at the current prices of the bikes being sold on ebay, then I check completed listings. Right now there are four Honda REPSOL 1000rr bikes that are being sold. In order to be an authentic REPSOL bike, you need to know Honda only makes these bikes every two years since 05'. 05' is the first year and one of the most collectible because it's the first year it came out. Every two years after that is 07;09;11;13. If it's NOT one of those years it's not authentic. Secondly, if you look at the last four of the VIN# as you read it from left to right, the last four of the VIN# never goes over 1500 for a REPSOL Edition bike. Honda only makes 1500 of them in that two year time period. Be-careful your not price comparing a REPLICA REPSOL .......it does matter if it's titled as a REPSOL! You can buy REPSOL fairings but if it's not titled as a REPSOL according to Honda, the RMV/DMV, and bike enthusiasts (it's why I shipped this one from California) it's not a REPSOL edition bike. It's just another CBR 1000rr. Secondly, check the completed listings section in ebay on the REPSOLs that have already sold. Check whether it's AUTHENTIC, check the CONDITION, and check the MILEAGE! After much deliberation I set the RESERVE PRICE at $5500. With the mileage, condition, and all the up-grades on this bike especially the full racing exhaust I not only felt it was fair, it was a steal at this price. I paid much more for it, and I realize with a lower reserve many more people are going to want to bid on it. So let me see if I can help you in your bidding, this is how I bid and most other serious buyers on ebay bid as well. BIDDING ON ITEMWhen I bid on an item after all the research and deciding what I want to purchase a bike for, I first place it on my watch list. Secondly, I never bid on the item until the last couple of SECONDS! Yes that's right SECONDS. A lot of times new people come to ebay, and just begin to bid on an item. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but ebay auctions work differently than normal auctions on the street or your local area. You cannot see the gavel or read the expressions on people faces or even who's actually truly interested. It's a blind auction with a set time. So what I, and many other seasoned ebayers do is use this time to our advantage. When an auction gets close to 5 minutes away. I go to the auction and put my maximum amount in the bid box for the item. For instance, this bike, let's say $6000 is my max or even you can put a crazy number in that people aren't expecting because most use whole numbers go $6053.00. The reason why this is important is because ebay only allows certain increments of $25, or $50 for a lot of big auctions. So if the person wants it worse than you but doesn't go to $6078.00 or etc. they won't win the auction! Okay now back to the bid box, when you place a bid on an item towards the close of auction the bid box format changes. So for instance, I put my bid of $6053.00 in the bid box now to the right of that bid box it states: "PLACE BID". Toggle that box ONE time. When you do so there is going to be a small white box that jumps out from the middle of your screen with the rest of the ebay page faded in the background. When that happens you'll see another blue box that states "CONFIRM BID" before it processes your bid. MANY people make the mistake of thinking that first box that states "PLACE BID" enters their bid automatically into the auction. It does NOT! The most important box for the ebay auction is the confirmation box that comes up with that second screen. Just as important- as only when that second window with the "CONFIRM BID" box comes up, automatically the time clock for that auction becomes a real time clock but not before then. Up until then if you are watching the auction you'll see that some of the seconds jump here and there. It's because it's not a direct link to a real time clock. ONLY the "confirm bid" window has the real time auction clock! Let me digress..... Do not attempt to use this method of bidding on a cell phone. You need a computer/laptop/tablet or something that has a good wi-fi signal or is directly plugged in by Ethernet cable. I've attempted this many times on my HTC One and lost auctions with this method of bidding and I will finish and tell you why. Once I place my max bid in the first box that states "PLACE BID" I toggle it and the second super-imposed window comes up with "CONFIRM BID" I wait until between 6-8 seconds of auction end using that real time clock to confirm my bid. But I ONLY do this with my MAX. bid I am willing to go for the bike. If I really want it I will put $7500 in the box knowing that in that time period no-one else will be able to raise their bid in that short of amount of time to beat me and no-one is going to bid that high on it to purchase the bike. They WILL NOT have time to go through the process of "place bid" and "confirm bid" in those short seconds time window. The computer/server won't process the information that quick at the end of the auction because of all the information it's processing and they have already lost. That DOESN'T mean I am going to pay $7500, it will only climb to the price other less serious bidders have put there bid in. [Just be sure you know that the auction is binding should someone want it as bad as you do.] That process happens automatically because the server is programmed to process all of the bids to the highest bidder in a minute amount of time, and technically though the time runs out on us sitting on this side of the screen, because the bid was placed before the time ran out the auction goes on until the true highest bidder has been processed and arisen. Whoever hits the "confirm" button in that small window of "seconds" wins the bike. I've been winning auctions for years and I am telling the less experienced people who are watching the auction this is what's going to happen. With a live auction the person bidding cannot see how many watchers there are on an item only the person selling the item can see how many watchers he has on an item. You can see the amount of bids but not the watchers. For this auction right now there are 60 watchers which is days before it closes, yet there are only 5 bids! If you truly want the bike do it this way. Rest assured there is a reason why there's only 5 bids currently with 60 watchers, and it's not because people like to watch auctions without bidding! Just make sure you have the proper connection. Wifi in a computer cafe will work fine or even at work/home. But don't try it on a phone. If you want to do this on a phone place your bid around 15-20 seconds to account for the delay, maybe more, depending on what phone you have. If not you're going to be like I was a few times upset sitting on the other end of a phone when I lost an important auction I wanted. In closing, I hope you win. It's an awesome bike, I'm 38 and I want a house. I don't want to sell anymore of my toys so this was what I chose (my wife doesn't like them and I don't ride with passengers in Boston). I can honestly say it's the most powerful thing I've ridden on, and definitely the fastest. I've given you any/all of the "secret" information you need to make a winning bid though I know a lot of experienced bidders aren't going to be happy with it. I want a level playing field in my auctions. Thank you and God-bless.
