Vehicle Detail
For sale, a 1969 Dodge Charger. This is a project car that needs a lot of love. Only someone with the capability or necessary funds should bid on this car. It is an original Oklahoma car that has been sitting for the last 30 years. It came optioned as a T3, 383 hp, 4 speed console, A/C(very rare), factory disc brake(still intact), tic-toc-tac(missing), tinted window, factory undercoated car. The fender tag is real nice and the numbers on this match the dash VIN, radiator support, and trunk gutter. R11 V1T 26 END G33 H51 J25 M21 M31 N85 AO1 B41 D51 C16 C55 G11 T3 C6T T3 701 088376 E63 D21 XP29 H9B 434264 The frame rails, torsion bar crossmember, door jamb areas, and rockers are super solid. The rockers have some damage on the underside and will need to be straightened out, but no rust. The floor pans are fairly decent and should only need a couple of small patches. The center section of the trunk floor and the lower portions of the extensions will need replacement as well as the lower quarters. The inner wheelhouses look really nice as do the outers except for a couple of small spots on the wheel lips. The rear tail panel is not rusty, but has a small puncture and some dents that will need repair. The deck filler, lower plenum, trunk gutters, and decklid are good. The sail panels will need patches in the lower window corner areas. Left inner fender is good - not so for the right side. I am not sure what happened in this area, but it has been dented and will need replacing. I removed the windshield and rear glass to check how bad the rust was in the channels - nothing serious and can easily be repaired rather than replacing. When the windshield was out, I removed some filler on the top right of the cowl. I am sure this damage happened at the same time as the inner fender damage. Again no rust, but some metalwork is needed. I believe the doors, fenders, and hood are salvageable - but do have dents and dings. The grill support will need repair or replacement. The grill will need attention, but I have seen worse repaired. I rebuilt the door hinges. The roof is good only needing repair at the rear upper glass right corner. The rear shock cross member has had an angle iron welded to it no doubt from someone running air shocks. I have a very nice one that will go with the car from another 69 Charger that is already blasted. One of the vinyl trim check mark pieces, and 1 top front drip rail 45* corner is missing, other than that the rest of the chrome seems to be there. The original seatbelts are there as well as the console, but holes have been made in the top plate probably for a couple of aftermarket gauges. There is an 26” radiator(but not from this car), driveshaft, power steering pump, 11 inch flywheel, 4-speed tranny, shifter, rods, and handle. The rear end looks to be an 8.25 inch. The rear seat is in the car along with 2 buckets - however they are both for the passenger side. The heater box is missing. The glass is all there with no cracks. One or two of the window regulators will need work. The upper door pads should be useable with a re-dye. The dash frame, 4-speed pedal assembly, e-brake pedal assembly, and steering column are decent. There is a gas tank and filler tube. The headliner bows are all there. I have tried to describe the condition of the car as thorough as I could so there wont be any surprises. What you see in the pictures is what you get. Sold as is. The car does roll and I possibly can help with loading. This will be a very sharp and rare optioned car when restored but make no mistake about it - it is a MAJOR project. $500.00 non refundable payment due within 24 hours of auction end and remainder within 5 days. Bank to bank transfers or cash preferred. Paypal would be ok, but add 5% to the final price. Shipping is the buyers responsibility.
