Vehicle Detail
For sale is my first "adult" car. I drove a Chevy Cavalier all throughout law school, and finally after a year of practice decided to buy a nice summer sports car. I paid $11,000 after taxes just under a year ago, but I would like to buy a 4x4 truck or SUV now to pull with. Here are the specs: 2003 Audi TT 1.8 Turbo Automatic Transmission with 74,200 miles on it Has tiptonic shifting It is a solid TT - clean inside and out. It drives very smooth no ticking clicking or weird noises on the engine. Interior is very clean and very minimal wear on seats. Overall, the car runs great. Here are the "issues" with the car: Keep in mind, as you look at other Audi TT's, most others all have these exact same problems, but they aren't listed. These have all been like this since I bought it, and it hasn't affected the functionality of the drive a bit. -Front right speaker is out. -Key FOB needs reprogrammed to use Unlock, Lock, and Trunk Release -The display that tells the outdoor temperature and which door is open is slightly pixilated. -Heater doesn't blow hot. -One of the temperature knobs is broken off. -Trunk struts need replaced as it won't stay open unless you hold it. I've tried to be EXTREMELY honest in listing every little detail so that you know exactly what you're buying. It runs tremendous, but since most people viewing this aren't local and may bid without viewing, I just wanted to make sure there was NOTHING hidden. Please feel free to ask any questions, and please feel free to come look at it and take it for a drive! On Jan-16-14 at 04:19:17 PST, seller added the following information: To answer a few questions: This has almost 100% been used as a summer car. I have an old Chevy Cavalier that I use as my beater winter car in case it gets wrecked, no harm done. I took the Audi out at the beginning of the week when the roads were all cleared of snow to take it out on a drive and to get it inspected by Monteith's in Syracuse, IN. Naturally, 4 miles down the road the change oil light came on. I had them change the oil and during the inspection, they found that the rear rotors needed to be replaced soon. I am having this done by them today. The receipts will be provided. Please feel free to ask any other questions. On Jan-18-14 at 05:05:26 PST, seller added the following information: Answers to a couple more questions: I'm fine if the buyer wants to have the car shipped, just know that it's not leaving my garage until I have the cash in hand. I have personally used uship before, and it was a pretty easy and inexpensive process. As far as pictures go, if you want anything specific, please just let me know and I'll get a picture and post it. I am not a dealer. I'm not a mechanic. I know little about fixing cars myself. My extent of "car knowledge" is when a light comes on or something sounds funny, I take it in to get it fixed. This is a private auction. Everyone is encouraged to come out, inspect it, bring a mechanic, drive it, whatever pleases you. Obviously there are no warranties, and the car is being sold as-is. Like my last update mentioned, the oil was just changed this week along with the back rotors at Monteith's Auto Shop in Syracuse, IN. This isn't a "mom and pop" shop, and is similar to a Midas or Meineke's. Feel free to call them with any questions regarding this work. Receipts will come with the car. I am NOT selling the car locally. Once you bid, there is no chance of someone else getting the car. If you win the bid, it's your car. That being said, please bid to buy and don't waste anyone's time. If you wanted to come and test drive it before hand, that's fine, but don't buy the car then come waste my time. Please feel free to ask any more questions.
