This van has been off the road since 1998. The exact mileage is unknown. The previous owner put a two carb engine in and had it running, but could not get the carbs timed. I have never heard it run. I checked the pulley on the rear of the engine and was able to turn it back and forth. I don't know what size the engine is, or if it would start if you put a battery in and flushed the fuel system (plan on rebuilding the engine). The body seems fairly solid for the age. I tried to show the rust problems. The rail under the sliding door is completely rusted away. The gear shift feels funny to me, but I am not a VW person. The tires are rotted, but maybe they will hold air long enough to load it. It's in my front yard in Laurel Fork Va. 24352. The buyer needs to schedule removal when it's not muddy or a snow on. I will not deliver. Title exchange will be according to state law. Buyer must furnish name and address as well as signing the title (This vehicle will not be sold with an open title.). Please, don't waste my time with lowball offers.
