1983 Honda CX 650 Custom. Only made one year and featured diagonal 2 cylinder engine and drive shaft design. It is water cooled. This motorcycle looks excellent and runs perfect. This bike was purchased 2 years ago and underwent an extensive mechanical renovation. While the bike looked good and ran, I had all the mechanical components thoroughly inspected, repaired or replaced. There was never any damage to this bike. It rarely got ridden by the second owner for the 20 years he owned it. It has less than 4100 miles and I put 1600 on it myself. I had the fork seals replaced, put on new tires and tubes, had the carburetors rebuilt with genuine Honda parts, had the tank interior sealed, put new stainless front brake line in and replaced the turn signal stems. The list goes on and on but everything is in excellent repair. As far as appearance, the bike looks almost new. The chrome is very good, the paint is original and looks great (still has good clear coat), everything is original. The bike was always kept inside. Electrically, everything works properly and has a pigtail for a battery tender. Electric start works well. The cooling system, engine, exhaust and drive are in excellent condition and don't leak or smoke. The only flaw is a 3/8 inch round nick in the seat. The rest of the seat is perfect. I am selling this bike because I need to thin down my collection and don't have enough time to ride all my bikes enough. The drive shaft makes this bike very smooth and it very dependable despite its age. I have more invested than I will ever get back. If you are interested in this Honda model, I don't think you will find a better example. This CX 650 would make a fine addition to a collection or make a great daily rider.
