Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a nice clean Original 1965 Dodge Dart GT 2 Door Hardtop. This is a 76,100 Original Mile car with the Bulletproof Charger 225 Slant 6 Engine and the Floor Console Shifted Automatic Transmission. This 1965 Dart GT is equipped with Bucket Seats with the First Year Floor Console with the Original Automatic Floor Shifter that was made by Hurst for Chrysler, Power Steering, Manual Drum Brakes, Rare Factory Air Conditioning, Dual Rear-View Mirrors with the Chrysler Pentastar, Day/Night Interior Rearview Mirror, Retractable Front Seat Belts, AM Radio, Optional Padded Dash, Full Wheel Covers.....a Nicely Optioned 1965 Dart GT is a beautiful Color Combination of Code "WW1" White Paint with the Brilliant Red Bucket Seat Interior with the Cool Floor Console with the Hurst Manufactured Automatic Shifter which was by Hurst for Chrysler Corporation. This is the first year for the Cool little Floor Console in a Dodge Dart and I have always loved the look of these Consoles. This is a very Original 1965 Dodge Dart GT 2 Door Hardtop with a Beautiful Factory Original Color Combination and it's a Super reliable driver that can be enjoyed immediately. This Dart GT runs and drives great with Chrysler Corporations most durable & exceptionally reliable engine ever built in the 225 cubic inch Slant 6 or the Charger 225 as Dodge called it in 1965. This very attractive Dart GT is a wonderful driver and a good Original car. The Dart GT runs, drives, stops and steers nicely with everything working as it should. Every Light, Signal and Accessory works exactly as they should. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION & MECHANICAL UPGRADES & RECENT WORK This Cool Dart GT is a great running and driving car. The "Charger 225" Slant Six engine runs very well with no unusual noises and no smoke. The engine starts easily and runs out nicely while the rebuilt Automatic Transmission shifts flawlessly. The Dart GT drives up the road nicely and easily cruises along the Highway at speeds in excess of 70 mph without issue. The Dart steers nicely with the Power Steering which makes things easier for parking in tight spaces. I've owned a couple of these Dart GT's over the last 35 years and I always found them to be lots of fun for cruising and quite easy to drive. The Dart drives nicely and steers easily with the Power Steering and the Manual Brakes stop the car easily. There has been quite a bit of recent mechanical work done to the Dart which includes Brake, Transmission, Air Conditioning and much more. The work that was done to the Dart GT was extensive and costly such as rebuilding the Automatic Transmission, completely rebuilding and or replacing just about all of the Brake Components. It also had the Factory Air Conditioning gone over to make it operate far better than it ever did from the Factory while maintaining the Factory Original appearance. The Air Conditioning received a New Modern High Efficiency Air Conditioning Compressor along with the Restoration of the Air Conditioning Condenser, Replacement of the High Pressure Air Conditioning Hoses/Lines, All New Factory Replacement Air Conditioning/Heater & Defroster Ducts under the Dash. The Radiator was flushed, pressure tested while two electric were added to optimize the operation of the Air Conditioning with one fan used to pull the cooler air into the engine compartment while the other fan pushes the hot air out of the engine compartment which as you know can get quite hot on a Summer day. This 1965 Dodge Dart GT 2 Door Hardtop is a nice clean reliable Driver that runs beautifully with everything working as it should. It's a nice clean Original car that has survived the last 49 years with very little in the way of changes. In fact the car is for the most part, very original with the exception of the upgraded air conditioning components and the addition of two nice aftermarket Radio Speakers that were added in the correct location in the Rear Package Tray retaining it's original appearance. I believe the previous owner had a newer AM-FM Stereo CD Player in the car at one time which explains the addition of the newer three way Speakers in the rear package tray which would make it easy for you to install your own modern Stereo system if you chose to do so. ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, DRIVING CONDITION & ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS The Drive-train in this 1965 Dart GT is excellent! The Charger 225 engine runs great and the Floor Shifted Automatic Transmission shift perfectly with only a few thousands miles since the complete rebuild. The "Charger 225" engine starts easily and runs nice and smooth as you'd expect from Chrysler's Famous Bullet-Proof Slant 6! The engine makes absolutely no unusual noises and doesn't smoke. The first time I drove this 1965 Dart GT was on it's maiden voyage back home to Pennsylvania which was nearly 200 miles and the Dart GT performed flawlessly. It was a great ride home in the Dart GT and the car just couldn't have performed any better with much of the driving done on the Pennsylvania Turnpike with speeds consistently ranging from 65-80 mph. Much of this trip was done in the evening as well so it was great to have absolutely every Dash Light working as it should and the same goes for all of the cars Gauges....all of the Gauges were working which really put my mind at ease because I was making a long trip in a car that I was not familiar with so having all of the Dash Lights & Gauges working on a long trip in the dark just made things comfortable and stress free.....just a wonderful trip with absolutely no problems. The Dart GT runs and drives beautifully and I think the next caretaker will enjoy this Dart as it's not only a great driver but it's also an all around super cool car. I might as well continue onto the cars electrical components. The Dart GT's electrical components all seem to be in great working condition as absolutely every light, signal and accessory worked except for the AM Radio. I realize that the pictures show the car with the drivers side front parking light bulb out but it has since been replaced and all lights and signals work as they should. The Headlight, High Beams, Low Beams, Taillights, Parking Lights, Turn Signals, Brake Lights, Dash Lights, Interior Dome Light, Console Gear Indicator Light , Heater/Defroster and Air Conditioning all work, Windshield Wipers, Gas Gauge, Amp Gauge, Temperature Gauge, Speedometer & Odometer all work. The only things not working properly are the Factory Original AM Radio which I believe to need either the Fuse Replaced or it might just need to be plugged in as the previous owner did have an AM-FM CD Stereo in the car at one time as the 3 Way Speakers are still nicely mounted in the correct position in the rear Package Tray. The Turn Signals work just fine but the Turn Signal doesn't cancel properly when returning from a right turn. It's no big deal as I simply turn it off manually from the Turn Signal Stalk. These are the only things not working and I believe I can straighten out the Radio situation before the auction ends. It's amazing that all of the Electrical components still work as they should after 49 years or I should say just about everything. It's a rarity to find a Classic car from this era where all of the Electrical components and accessories still work as they did from the factory! This is a great little 1965 Dodge Dart GT that runs, drives, steers, stops and performs very well. It's just a great Classic Dodge Dart GT and not something you see everyday with Factory Air Conditioning. BODY & PAINT, INTERIOR & TRIM, CHROME, GLASS This 1965 Dodge Dart has a Nice Clean look and the body is in good condition. The Paint is the Correct Code "WW1" White as per the Original Fender Tag and has a Nice Clean Overall appearance. This Dart GT is an awesome Turnkey driver that can be enjoyed and driven proudly just the way it is. The Interior has the Red Bucket Seats which were Standard with the GT Package although the Automatic Transmission was an Option as was the Floor Console. The Stainless Steel and Aluminum Trim on this Dart GT is in Good original condition....especially for an unrestored original car. The Trim has a nice shine and looks quite nice for Original 49 year old trim. The Stainless Steel and Aluminum Trim that surrounds all of the Windows and the Trim that runs down the Tops of the Fenders, Quarter Panels and over the Roof appears to be very nice Original trim. The Original Grill has a nice clean appearance and the same goes for the Headlight Bezels although I believe there is a small ding on the lower section of the Passenger Headlight Bezel. The Trunk Lid Finish Panel is in nice Original condition and looks great with no real damage that I'm aware although there could be something super minor that I missed. The Original Bumpers are Super Straight with Beautiful Chrome although the very top of the Front Bumper does have a thin line where it has some minor corrosion showing. It might even come right off with a little polishing or cleaning with chrome polish. The Rear Bumper is also Straight with Beautiful Chrome with a few very minor marks....overall, very Nice Original Bumpers and much better than average ....Great Driver quality. The Original Wheel Opening Moldings have a nice clean look and are in very Good condition with a great shine and I believe 3 of the 4 are Super Nice with one having a small ding. The Chrome Door Handles have some pitting on the flat sections which is typical of 49 year old handles but the Door Handles work fine and if you ever wanted to replace them then they are available at reasonable prices. The Doors Open and Close just fine and they Lock and Unlock with the Original Keys. The Windows roll up and Down just fine. The Glass appears to be in Good Original condition and the Windshield is free of any cracks or damage. The Side Glass and Back Window are in Good condition and although I don't think there are any issues, it's a 49 year old car so it may have some minor scratches on the side glass as they often do from their many years of service. The Body appears to be nice and straight from front to rear. The Paint looks nice although it has some nicks, chips and some minor scratches and there may be a couple of minor door dings.. nothing that's a big deal in my opinion. The Paint appears to be a repaint and appears the be the only repaint since the car was new. The Paint is the correct original White. The Body is nice and solid overall with wonderful Original Floor Pans that were Factory Undercoated when the car was new. The Section of the Frame just in front of the Rear Tires where the Rear Leaf Spring mount are super nice and are showing the Factory Original White Paint. There are several places on the Frame Rails where it shows the Original Factory White Paint. There is very little rust on this car. There is a small spot towards the front of each door and a little spot behind the rear wheel on each side where the quarter panel wraps under the car. It is a very small spot on each side and could be left alone or you could easily have this little spot cleaned up, repaired and blown in with White Paint to match the rest of the car. This is super minor.... just wanted to stress this. The Original Lower Quarter Panels behind the rear wheels where the outer skins wrap under to meet the Trunk Extensions or Drop-Off's still have their Original Factory Tabs on the Original Sheet Metal and the Original Trunk to Quarter Panel drop offs are Super nice. The Trunk is free of any rust as you can see in the pictures. It's just a really solid 1965 Dart GT and finding nice solid Original cars like this is becoming very difficult. The Trunk is Rock Solid with the Original Jack and there is a Radial Spare Tire in the same size as the Tires on the car so no need to worry should you get a flat as you have a good spare. The Original Jacking Instructions are still on the underside of the Trunk Lid. The Taillight Bezels have some pitting on the Top Flat surfaces and I have another Pair of Bezels that will go with the car to replace the pitted Originals. The Tires that are on the car have like New Tread and I don't think they have more than 5,000 Miles on them. The Tread looks like new although I'm not sure how old the Tires are. I can tell you that I have driven 500 miles on these tires including several trips on the Highway at speeds of 65 mph+ with no issues. The Interior appears to be very Original and although it does show some wear, it still has a good original appearance. The Interior is 100% complete and looks to be original. There are a couple of splits in the Factory Bucket Seats and the Original Carpeting is showing some wear although a Brand New Molded Red Carpet made by ACC is included with the car and can be seen in the large Box shown in the Trunk of the car. The Original Rear Seat is in Good shape with the Original Factory Buttons on both the lower and upper portions of the Seat. The Original Door Panels are in Nice condition with Nice Original Factory carpeting along the bottom of the Door Panels and they show very well. The Original Headliner is White and looks nice although there is some very minor discoloration but it's in otherwise very good condition and I wouldn't dare touch it. It's just too nice. The Original Sun Visors are also White and appear to be in good clean original condition. The Original Instrument Cluster and all of the Dash Bezels are uncut and appear to be in good overall condition with some wear from nearly 50 years of sun and temperature changes but they still look nice overall. The Gauges all work as they should and the Original Dash Lights all work as does the Original Dome Light. The Doors have the Original Dart GT emblems on the upper section of the Doors above the Door Panels. The Rear Seat appears to be in excellent condition and I don't remember seeing any rips or tears. The Steering Wheel is complete with the Original Chrome Horn Ring and although the Chrome Horn Ring is still very nice, the steering wheel does have some cracking which is also very typical for these cars. The Original Trunk Mat was starting to come apart so I removed it but a New Trunk Mat will come with the car. This is just a good Original 1965 Dart GT that has an Outstanding Original Color Combination in the White over Red and it is an Excellent driving car. It runs out great and handles well for a 1965 Dart. It's a good solid car overall and I think the New Owner/Caretaker will be very Happy with his or her new Toy. Check out the many pictures and feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. OVERVIEW This is a very Original 1965 Dodge Dart GT with 76,000 Original Miles or so I was told that the mileage is Original and I have absolutely no reason to believe otherwise. The receipts that I have for the work that was done to the car over the last couple of years total more than $3,000 and the Transmission was Rebuilt at a cost of $1,100 although I don't have the receipt for the rebuild but there is no doubt that the Transmission was rebuilt and when I picked up the car from the 72 year old brother of the former owner, he was not only a pleasure to deal with but he was as honest as the day is long. The Owner before him is said to be an engineer who had the car for years and who also took great pride in owning this 1965 Dart GT. I was told that he had quite a bit of work done to the Dart. I will dig out all of the receipts over the next few days and list all of the work that was done to the Dart GT. The car was religiously maintained by it's two previous owners. The "Charger 225" Slant Six engine runs beautifully and the Transmission shifts like new as it should with the recent rebuild. The car has a very nice clean overall appearance and was never a rusty car. It's a very solid original car with a few very small spots that are minor by anyone's standards.... really minor stuff and nothing that needs to be addressed immediately. Enjoy the car for a couple of car Seasons before you consider even touching any of this stuff... just my opinion but these little spots are barely noticeable. The car has nice Original Trim with attractive Original Bumpers, Grill & Headlight Bezels... Nice Original Trunk Finish Panel... Nice Original Roof Drip Rail Polished Stainless Steel and clean Upper Quarter Panel, Upper Door and Upper Fender Trim. The car has nice Original Wheel Opening Moldings.... Nice Original Stone Guards in front of the rear wheel openings... Nice Original Full Wheel Covers. The Tires look like new and can't have more than 5,000 miles on them... if that! The Exhaust is quiet and the engine sounds good through the back Tailpipe. The Brakes are all recently done. All of the Electrical Components work as they should. The Trunk is beautiful with nice Painted Trunk Floor, Nice Spare Tire, Nice Complete Original Jack, Original Instructions... just a Super Clean Original Trunk Pan and Beautiful Rust Free Spare Tire Well. The Lights and Signals all work, Headlight, High & Low Beams, Working Taillights, Working Parking Lights, Working Brake Lights, Working Turn Signals, Working Dash Lights, Working Interior Dome Light, Working Gas Gauge, Working Temperature Gauge, Working Amp Gauge, Working Speedometer & Odometer, Working Windshield Wipers, Working Cigarette Lighter, Working Heater, Working Defroster with New Heater/Defroster Ducts, Working Floor Console Gear Indicator Light. The Doors Lock & Unlock with the Keys. The Trunk Opens and Closes easily with the Keys.... Windows Roll Up & Down, Working Vent Windows, Working under Dash Fresh Air Vents. This 1965 Dodge Dart GT is a nice little car that's a whole lot of fun to drive and it's one of those cars that turns heads and is a serious Head Turner that never fails to start conversations with complete Strangers whether you sitting at a Traffic Light or Pumping Gas. Let's face it, just about everyone, knows somebody who has owned a Classic Dodge Dart over the last 6 decades so your not going to stop anywhere in this car without somebody wanting to talk about your car! It's just a cool Classic 1965 Dart GT that should bring you many years of enjoyment whether it be used as your daily driver, weekend fair weather driver, local cruise night or car club gathering car. It's just flat-out cool and loads of fun. It's a great old car but like any other car that's approaching it's 50th Birthday, there are always things to do or things that can be done to improve the car. I will get into more detail within the next few days but I think you should be able to get a fairly good idea as to what kind of car this is as well as the overall condition of the car. There won't be any disappointments with this Classic Dart GT if you have realistic expectations. It's a great little car but it's a very original car and not a restored car so it's not perfect but it's a reliable Dart GT and it's priced reasonably. This was one of the warmer days that we had last week when temperatures went into the low 40's and the remains of two minor snow storms were fast melting away. The cool lines of the 65 Dart GT is one of the things that always attracted me to these cars. They have a lot of trim and one of my favorite pieces is the Halo trim across the roof which was factory installed on all 1965 Dart GT 2 Door Hardtops. If you opted for either the Two-Tone Paint or a Vinyl Roof then the Halo trim is what separated the 3/4 Vinyl or secondary paint color ABOVE: The Sharp Front of the 1965 Dart GT with it's sectioned aluminum grill and cool Fender-top trim along with the Hood Ornament with it's Chrome bezel & laminated Insert with the White Background & Silver 3 Point Dodge emblem in the middle.... just a sharp design!ABOVE: The 1965 Dart GT Drivers side Front to Rear with all Original Trim, Emblems, Wheel Covers, all 4 Original Wheel Opening Moldings.... a very Original and 100% complete get it and go Cruiser that shows nicely. On Dec-24-13 at 18:40:55 PST, seller added the following information: Hello and Merry Christmas Eve to the Ebay Community! I truly hope that everyone has a wonderful Holiday Season whether your celebrating Christmas, Eid, Yule, Kwanzaa and late holiday wishes for those who celebrated Hanukkah! May the Good Spirit of this holiday season be shared by all. Thank you for the kind emails and the well wishes for me and my family. I wish you all a very Happy & Healthy New Year! I hope the New Year brings everyone good health and many happy times with your family and friends! I just wanted to take the time to Thank you all for your interest in the little 65 Dodge Dart GT. It's a wonderful running & driving car and a very solid original car but it is a 49 year old car so it's not perfect or without things that could be improved upon. I was out driving the car today to show it to a potential ebay bidder and I enjoyed my time with the gentleman and his son who came to see the car on their way back from picking up another item that they had purchased in a nearby town. These guys were a real pleasure and I spent several hours on Christmas Eve just talking cars and going out for a drive in the Dart GT with them. It's just another of those things that I enjoy about this old car hobby.... the people are what brings this hobby to life! Thanks to Mark and James for stopping by! I hope you guys have a wonderful Holiday season and the best of luck with your bidding. I also wanted to add a few things to the auction. The Dart GT is nice and solid overall but it has a few minor spots that will need attention sometime in the future. The car is a nice original car but as I said earlier, it's not without it's flaws. Like most cars that are nearly 50 years old, there are always little things to be done and the Dart GT has various little things that could use some improvements. The little Window Fuzzies between the doors and the door glass should be replaced at some time($100) and the weatherstripping appears to be original and it's getting tired. The door hinge on the drivers side is starting to wear a little at the pin like all Mopar door hinges and although it's not something that needs to be done immediately, it would be an improvement and is an easy & inexpensive thing to repair should you decide to do so. The high pressure power steering line that runs from the box to the power steering pump should be replaced and it can be bought here on ebay for $28 with free shipping. The car has a bad Radio Antenna but I have a nice original that will go with the car. The Taillight Bezels are showing their age but I have a nice clean set of used Originals with pretty Nice Chrome that will go with the car along with some nice Taillight Lenses. The car will also comes with NOS Windshield Wiper Arms & Wiper Blades. I also have a NOS Turn Signal Cam or Cancellator that will come with the car. The Car has a New Lightweight Air Conditioning Compressor and New Lines along with New under Dash Ducts and the AC comes on and works fine but it seems as though the Heater/AC/Defroster Buttons in the Dash are a little sticky and one of the Diverter valves under the Dash seems to be directing the air improperly.... not a big deal but it's something I thought I'd mention. The car runs great and the Transmission shifts beautifully. The Dart GT has all New Brake components less than 3,000 miles ago but as you know, drums brakes always seem to need adjusting. The Brakes work fine but as I said, they can always use some adjusting as they have a tendency to grab a little harder on one side or another and this can happen with Drum Brakes even if you adjusted them a week earlier.... it's just the nature of older drum brakes. The car drives nicely and goes down the road nicely at highway speeds. I had it out today at 65-70 mph and it drives just fine. Keep in mind that the Dart GT is nearly 50 years old and these older cars can always use improvements and upgrades and I don't care if you replaced everything on the car within the last few years, they always need to be tended to. The best thing in the world for these Classic cars is to be driven and this car would definitely benefit from being driven regularly. The Dart comes with a New ACC Red Molded Carpet set with the Correct Original Jute backing just as Chrysler used on these cars when they were new and the carpets will be a nice addition to help freshen the interior. It's a nice quality carpet set. There is a little spot on the lower right side of the trunk lid that shows a little repair that was done before the car was painted years ago. The Trunk lid does not need replacing by any means but it did have a little repair done and it could be gone over again if you decide to freshen the car up sometime in the future. The car has nice solid floor pans with the factory undercoating having done it's job over the years and the same goes for the Trunk Floor and Trunk extensions.... rock solid. The Unibody/Frame Rails and the Crossmember all appear to be exceptionally solid and still show some of the original White Factory paint in some areas. I just wanted to mention some of these things and I will add more information as I think of it. Thanks again for all of the phone calls, emails and for your Bids. The 1965 Dart GT is a good unrestored Classic car that can be enjoyed now and you can make improvements as your time and budget allows. The 1965 Dodge Dart GT 2 Door Hardtop is a good old car and one of those cars that most of us have had some experience with whether we owned one when we were younger or maybe a family member or friend owned one. These cars bring back many Happy memories for so many people and you can't go anywhere in this Dart GT without somebody wanting to talk about the car. It's just one of those cars! Thanks again for all of the interest and have a very Happy Holiday Season. I will add more pictures in the coming days. Thanks again!!!! Tony 215-499-2693 The 1965 Dart GT is located just outside of Northeast Philadelphia in Bensalem PA 19020 Thanks again and Happy Holidays!!!On Dec-27-13 at 19:07:11 PST, seller added the following information: Thanks for the interest in the Dart GT. This 1965 Dodge Dart GT is a sharp little car and it's a lot of fun to drive. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts as it should. The previous owner spent quite a bit of time and money to have regular maintenance work done and some upgrades such as having New Wheel Cylinders installed, Brake Shoes, New Master Cylinder, 4 New Rubber Brake Hoses 2 Front & 2 Rears although the Original Steel Lines are still on the car, New upgraded Alternator, Air Conditioning work done including New Modern Lightweight Air Conditioning Compressor, 2 New Primary Air Conditioning Lines that come off of the New Compressor, New Dual Electric Fans, New Radiator Overflow Bottle, AC "O" Rings, Radiator Pressure Flushed & Pressure Tested, Replaced Oil Pan Gasket & Rear Main Seal, Dash Bulbs replaced, New Ignition parts, Nice Interstate Battery and more. The Transmission is said to have been rebuilt and it shifts nice and smooth & the Fluid is Nice & Clean as is the Transmission housing. There is no receipt for the rebuild although you don't always need receipts to see that Parts were Replaced or Rebuilt or to see that certain work was done. The Rear Shocks look old and I'm sure the Dart would benefit from new Shocks. The Exhaust is a stock style exhaust and looks older but seems just fine. The Tires are Hankook brand and the Tread looks like New but the tires are older with some signs of checking. I've driven it long distance at highway speeds on the tires but I'm not sure how old they are. The Dart runs well with it's famously reliable Slant 6 engine and there are no unusual noises. It just runs good.....it's not going to break any land speed records but the Slant 6 engines are reliable, economical and easy to work on. The engine always starts easily and runs just like a good old Slant 6 should. The 65 Dart GT is a very cool little car and has a clean and attractive look overall. The Body is pretty solid overall and the Factory Undercoating appears to have done it's job as it still shows the heavy undercoating on the underside of the Dart. The Rear Quarters are solid with the Inner Skin on the backside of the quarter panels still intact and not rusted away like so many cars of this vintage. The little metal tabs along the bottom of the quarter panels are still in place which is unusual as they are often rusted away. There is a small spot on the lower quarter behind each rear wheel that would need to be gone over if you decided to paint the car sometime in the future and there is a little spot along the lower front section of each door that shows a little bubbling or surface rust but nothing that appears to be a big deal and nothing that requires any serious work. There are no major issues with the body that I am aware of, just the things that I mentioned and a few small bubbles under the paint but I see absolutely nothing that would require any body panel should you decide to repaint the car in the future. There are some things that I mentioned earlier that would benefit the Dart GT such as installing the New Red Carpet set which comes with the car. It's a nice ACC Molded Carpet Set with the correct style Heel Pad & Correct style Jute backing just as the originals. The Door Panels look pretty nice and the same goes for the carpet along the bottom of the Door panels. The armrest Pads appear to be pretty nice although the drivers side armrest pad does have a couple of cracks. These Pads are inexpensive and easy to find on ebay. The Bucket Seats show some wear with a split and some cracking on each side but they are not awful by any means and the Correct Reproduction Bucket Seat Covers are available in Red should you decide to replace them at some point. The Rear Seat looks pretty nice. The Rear Door Panels look nice as well with nice armrest pads. The Headliner is Original in White and I don't believe it has any splits but there is some light discoloration. I wouldn't touch it. It still looks nice. The Floor Console is complete with the Original Shifter and the little Ashtray in the rear of the Console. The Console has not splits or breaks. The little Light in the Floor Console still lights up when you have your lights on. The Gauges all work, Gas Gauge, Temperature Gauge, Amp Gauge, Speedometer and Odometer all work. All of the Lights work including the Headlights, High & Low Beams, Parking Lights, Taillights, Brake Lights & Turn Signals work just fine although the Right Turn Signal doesn't cancel automatically. You can turn it off Manually or install the New Turn Signal Cam that comes with the car. The Radio is not working but I think it just needs to be plugged in with the Antenna in place. The Windshield Wipers work, Dome Light works and the Heater/Defroster & AC work. There are New Heating/Defroster Ducts installed under the Dash and everything seems to work although the Push Buttons for the Heater/AC are a little sticky with a diverter issue which I also attribute to a sticky trap door. This doesn't stop the Heat or AC from working. The Original Fresh Air Vents under each side of the Dash are in good shape with nice Original Hinges & Locks. These are often broken off at the hinge but not with this car. They work great! The car comes with the New Red ACC Carpet Set along with 2 sets of used Taillight Lenses and Bezels. The Chrome Bezels look pretty nice on the one pair and would be great replacements for the originals which show some pitting. The car also comes with a NOS Pair of Windshield Wiper Blades and the New Turn Signal Cancellator/Cam and a few other new and used parts. The Aluminum & Stainless Steel Trim on the Dart is pretty nice overall with some minor nicks or dings on some pieces but overall, pretty nice original Trim. The Front & Rear Bumpers are nice and straight with a good clean look and a real nice Shine. Some of the chrome pieces are showing their age but as a whole, the Dart has nice Original 49 year old Trim. The Original Bumper Jack is complete & there is a Spare tire that is the same size as the tires on the car.The car comes with a New Trunk Mat. The Glass in the car is Original and there are no breaks or cracks in the Windshield. All of the Windows roll up and down and the Doors lock and unlock with the keys. The Trunk is exceptionally solid with beautiful Trunk Floor Extensions and a Nice Solid Spare Tire Well. The engine compartment is nice and clean overall with clean White Paint on the Inner Fenders, Firewall and on the Underside of the Hood. The Original Fender Tag is still in place. The Original Vin Plate is still in place on the Drivers side Hinge Pillar. This is a nice running 1965 Dart GT and it has a clean overall appearance, especially for an unrestored car. The car is a fun weekend cruiser that you can enjoy and make improvements as you'd like or just maintain the car and enjoy driving it. Like any car that's nearly 50 years old there is always room for improvement but as the old Dart GT is now, it's just a cool car that runs, drives and looks good...not perfect and not restored but a pretty solid original car that's a whole lot of fun. Please look over the pictures that I've added and ask any questions that you have before the auction ends. This cars warranty ran out back in the 60's so it's obviously sold as is like any other Classic car but please ask me questions and be sure that this is what you want before you bid. Thanks again for taking the time to read through everything that I've added to the auction and feel free to call Tony 215-499-2693 with your questions. This auction Ends at a very strange time.... at 2.30 am EST Late Sunday Night/Monday morning for us East Coast guys or 11.30 pm PST on Sunday evening for the West Coast guys. PLEASE CALL TONY 215-499-2693 with any questions or concerns. I would be happy to help with All Shipping Arrangements....just let me know if I'm able to help in any way! There are no stupid questions & I strongly urge you to ask about anything that your either concerned about or something that your not sure about. Tony 215-499-2693I've done the best that I can to describe the 1965 Dart GT so please ask questions. It's impossible to cover everything but I surely try. A NEW REPRODUCTION TRUNK MAT GOES WITH THE CAR TO FINISH OFF THE TRUNK AND GIVE IT A NICE CLEAN APPEARANCE. THE BOX IN THE FRONT IS THE NEW ACC RED MOLDED CARPET SET. The paint is older and shines nicely but it's not perfect and has it's share of imperfections. The Floors look nice and solid and the Undercoating appears to have done it's job of preserving the undercarriage of the Dart. The Trunk Floor and Trunk Extensions are exceptionally solid and Frame rails are nice and solid. There is a small spot of rust at the bottom of both doors but nothing serious and nothing that requires any panel replacement and there is a small spot behind both rear wheels as well but absolutely nothing that is a serious issue in my opinion. The backside of the Rear Quarters and the Lower section of the Rear quarters still have the factory tabs showing with the inner skins still looking nice and solid. The car is not perfect but it's a good running little 65 Dart GT and a fun little car to drive. Like any 49 year old car, there will always be things that need to be done. Thanks for looking and I hope that I've done a good job of answering all of your questions and addressing all of your concerns. Tony 215-499-2693
