Vehicle Detail
This car is being Re-listed due to a NON-PAYING bidder that never followed through with his commitment! please note this person (edwardsmith37) should not be trusted. He never paid deposit or even came to look at this car. just sent an text and claimed his plans had changed... Up for your consideration is my1968 CAMARO RS/SSWith little left to do but enjoy!New Rebuilt 350 with less than 500 miles: Car runs Great & Strong! Professionally rebuilt: Decked and lined bored, balanced, teflon coated skirt, flat top 10:1 pistons, cam, SS comp roller rockers & timing chain, ARP bolts, high volume oil pump, and moreTransmission: Muncie M-21 close ratio 4-spd with less than 200 miles, new clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing. 10 bolt posi rear end, Professionally rebuilt, Exhaust: New Flowmaster system & HeadersPaint: The paint alone on this beauty cost me $11k exterior, interior, trunk, etc. all look great!! the only flaw I'm aware of is where my dog pawed it just slightly on rear quarter while greeting me. I haven't done anything with it yet, it should just buff out as it is in the clear only.Body: New New New , Rear Quarter panals, Inner fenders, Cowl hood, Spoilers, & Front fenders. the doors and trunk lid were in great shape.Interior: New Upholstery, Seat covers, Dash, Headliner, the Carpet is not new but in good shape. This was an A/C car originally. I had had the heater core and housing changed cuz that was all that was left as with many cars this age. My intention was to add a Vintage Air system. The "BoneHead" at the body shop welded in the astro ventilation vents, you can still feel the holes from the back side, after a VERY heated discussion my paint bill went from 12.5k to 11k. Also the wiper motor & heater are not working yet I believe from a grounding issue from painting. they worked when dropped off to paint shop but not afterwards...see "BoneHead" above. anyway I can jump from battery ground and they work.Car Needs: Idler arm installed (new in trunk, I just have not had time to have it installed) and speedo-cable.Any questions please ask and I will get back asap ( I work shift-work ).MY RESERVE is near HALF of what I'm into this car.... and yet much less than what others are selling for! car is for sell locally so I reserve the right to remove this auction. If reserve is met.. it will run it's course and NOT be removed, and will go to highest bidder!WHAT EXTRAS comes with this car: car cover ( $300 ), Original, NOT aftermarket 4-spd console with rare clock with new wiring harness. clock is probably rebuildable but not working at this time. console can be installed if you remove or relocate trio gauge cluster. I have some Rally Wheels, caps, & rings (not original but date era) if you want them, I will put in trunk, the rims need sand blasted/painted. ( I have some GM rally wheel paint, six pack case.) I also have some traction bars that were on the car when I purchased it, if you want them I will put them in the trunk also. WHY AM I SELLING ??? Reason for selling is I have Three Beautiful grown Daughters and son-in-laws that continually give me grief over who is going to get this car...so My solution is Sell It & go on a Trip & enjoy... And besides the car has been in storage and comes out a couple times a year only, Time for a new home. I have tried to list everything I can think of, if you still have questions.. Just ASK , I will try to answer. Payment and Shipping: $500 deposit due within 48 hrs of auction end. Paid in full within 7 days. All costs and arrangements for shipping are buyers responsibility. I will try to assist in arrangements all I can. Thanks On Nov-26-13 at 17:43:00 PST, seller added the following information: To try to answer the many same questions the simplest way: The car has Front Disc Brakes. The rear end is a 10-bolt POSI, If I remember right with a 3.08 ratio. I will find out for sure and post ID numbers on the axle for you, this will be done more than likely Friday as my shift work is preventing me from doing so now, (maybe Thursday). I will get additional pictures uploaded then too. keep the questions coming... and I am located in central Utah. Payment of car is $500 deposit within 48 hrs. Full payment within 7 days as stated. ALSO CAR DOESN'T LEAVE MY SIGHT UNTIL FUNDS CLEAR MY BANK! On Nov-28-13 at 12:27:14 PST, seller added the following information: I have added several more pics taken this morning. please keep in mind the weather here is COLD. temp was 31 while I laid on the cement. the dirt, dust, and cob webs are free! I hope these pics help... some of my pics are older, this is when the car was first finished, the ONLY thing that has changed is about 30 additional miles! other than that there is NO Change. Thanks for all the offers and requests for a buy-it-now price, but as I stated in listing, once reserve was met, I have intended to let the auction run it's full course. I consider myself a fair and honest person and in doing so, the highest bidder at auction end wins.On Dec-26-13 at 16:33:13 PST, seller added the following information: For those of you requesting a pic of the scratch (it is in the clear only and as stated I have not had the time to try to have it taken care of, it should be able to be buffed out by a paint shop or yourself if you know what you are doing). I am uploading that now and also a pic to show you that the car has not changed from the earlier pics. I hope this helps... keep the questions coming.
