You are bidding on a U.S. Military owned, low mileage 2001 Chevy G3500 1 ton cargo/cutaway van powered by the dependable 6.5 liter TURBO diesel and automatic overdrive transmission. YES THIS IS A G30 1 TON VAN, eBay does not have a category for these, so I put it in the G20 section. This van has only 12,893 miles on it. Carfax verifies the clean title and actual mileage on this one ( you can see the report for free by clicking on the CARFAX emblem below the pictures). PLEASE LOOK AT THE 90 PICTURES I HAVE POSTED OF THIS VAN. I have sold about 50 of these vans over the years and this is hands down the cleanest one I have had (except for the other one just like it I just sold yesterday). I HAVE ALSO INCLUDED ALL THE MEASUREMENTS I COULD THINK OF BELOW IN THE EQUIPMENT SECTION. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY MEASUREMENTS OR PICTURES YOU NEED THAT I HAVE NOT PROVIDED. The exterior is in good shape with NO PAINTWORK, NO RUST AND NO BODY DAMAGE ON IT. There are a few minor rock chips and scratches here and there, but nothing to major at all. The paint is still in good shape, still very shiny and bright. The box is a VERY well built aluminum and fibreboard box by Grumman/Olson. It is lightweight but very strong. The box has locking rear and side doors on it. The tires have about 80% tread on them and are wearing evenly and smoothly. The seats are in great shape with no holes or rips in them. The van shows very little wear at all. The rubber floor and headliner are in good shape. The dash is in great shape. The windshield has no cracks. The van obviously has not been smoked in. THE VAN WAS OWNED BY THE U.S. MILITARY AND USED TO CARRY PARTS ON AN AIRFIELD. IT WAS DRIVEN OFTEN, BUT FOR VERY SHORT DISTANCES. THERE ARE NONE OF THE ISSUES YOU GET WITH A VEHICLE SITTING UP UNUSED FOR LONG PERIODS. Plus, this van was stored indoors in a hanger when not being used. AGAIN, JUST LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF THIS VAN! These vans are way overbuilt. They are 1-ton vehicles that end up carring small aircraft parts for short distances on perfectly smooth tarmac.
THE MILITARY HAS A VERY STRICT SERVICE SCHEDULE FOR THESE VANS AND KEEPS THEM IN TOP MECHANICAL SHAPE. The van needed next to nothing. I had my mechanic inspect all fluids, filters, belts, hoses, brakes, tires and more. This van needed virtually nothing at all. IT HAS NO LEAKS OR DRIPS AND DOES NOT SMOKE AT ALL. The transmission shifts out solidly and smoothly. It has no shimmies or shakes at 70 MPH on the freeway. With the 3.73 rear end this van will get you 20 mpg at 65 mph. It is ready to be driven anywhere and be put right to work. All the electronic equipment works like new. The heater is warm and toasty. THE BLACK BOX YOU SEE IN THE REAR PICTURES, IS AN AUXILLARY HEATER FOR THE REAR AREA. There are just no known problems with this vehicle. The pictures of the underneath show you the normal road dust and the fact that there is NO RUST. He will be happy to pick you up at any local airport, just let him know when and where.
