Vehicle Detail
Hello! Up for sale I have: A teal colored 1993 Toyota Celica GT with 160,800 miles. The vehicle report is incorrect due to the transposition of numbers at the DMV. The actual odometer reads 160,800. The maintenance records are available, a bit crude but impressive. This is a 5-speed manual and has all kinds of pep! The engine is strong and well supported by the tranny and drive-train. All P/W and locks, A/C all work great. All signals, lights, etc. work. The radio is a Sony with CD, and input for MP3. Issues: Needs a paint job and minor body work. The motorized, sliding sun roof needs a new motor. Junk yard part, simple fix, depends if you want it to work. There is an oil leak at the water pump housing/cover. Tightened the bolts and it stopped for a while, and then resumed but leaking less. Suggest replace gasket or torque all bolts properly, oil pan as well while your in there. The right rear brake needs a new rotor and pad. I have the new ceramic pads, but not the rotors. Needs a paint job due to massive fading of trunk, top, and hood. Problem is it blew a 30 fusible link underhood. Fix this wiring problem and you will have a vehicle that is reliable, and easy to maintain. I work on anything but electric systems, no tolerance for it.As of 12/4/13: I did a few more tests and scrutinized this wiring harness. I do believe that after examination and testing that I have concluded it is this harness. No other fuses have failed, nor did any other fail during the tests. This fuse is the only fuse that gets hot. I was driving this car until this happened on 12/1/13. I had it up to 120 mph and it was still climbing, and everything was working great. I have added some wiring diagrams, just to give an idea of what this AM2 controls. 12/6/13 Not running at this time. Checked wiring again, possible ECU. Will turn over, no spark. I am not the original owner. I had just purchased this car recently from a local private owner. I made some repairs, and intended to resell for a profit. Now it will be a loss. Your gain.
