Vehicle Detail
Here is a cool old Sturgis City truck with great vintage graphics on the doors. It was in service until 2012 and maintained. The truck runs and drives out great, the brakes are good and the tires decent with good tread and no weather checks. It has 18 inch 3 piece wheels. The truck does have a PTO. All of the lights, turn signals ect. work. The windshield is cracked. At the dispersal auction, they said it had very few miles since the engine was rebuilt but there is no documentation. While the doors open and close fine and the windows roll down and up, the rest of the body is rough. Not much rust but just banged up from a long life of service. The rust consists of the pictured area in the back of the cab and a couple small areas in the drivers floorboard, rust that every old truck gets in this area due to moisture and dirt trappage and getting in with snow on feet. Mileage on title reads exempt but ebay requires a number, hence the 98765.4. I have a clear title in my name. This is not a big truck, sheetmetal is the same as 1/2 ton pickups Also I can pull the outside duals and strap them to the chassis for a shipper. thanks for looking. I am relisting this once because it had 1800 views and 50+ watchers. Plus I have never answered so many questions on any single item. So to save time I will answer a few of them again right here. No it is not 4 wheel drive. No the frame isn't bent. No, I don't think you should drive it to Florida (but it might be a fun adventure). Yes I can work out a reasonable storage period until you can pick it up. No I won't sell just the doors, I already turned down $500 for them from a bar in Sturgis. No, I don't want to end the auction early and sell it on the side for less, but I would trade it for a really nice vintage or custom rifle if it doesn't sell (something like a Browning lever action in 257 Roberts, Savage 99 in 250-3000, Sako L46, Ruger tang safety in 6mm or custom Mauser). It's only $899, not very much money these days. You can't hardly buy a set of tires for that today, let along a good running truck. Thanks for looking. New info, Dec 4, I have an offer from a previous local ad. If there are no bids by Saturday, Dec 7, I will end this auction early. I will not end it early if there are any bids. On Dec-08-13 at 14:42:34 PST, seller added the following information: Pictures of a dump box were added by request from a previous listing where I mentioned it was available. It is not part of the auction but is available to the winning bidder for a small price.
