Superbly simple in operation, take the clock for example,,you can read it day and night, with or without the engine running. Change to daylight savings? Push a button and twist. Don’t even try and compare the simple ‘MUSICMASTER’ Radio with its SEVEN TUBES PLUS RECTIFIER to any of today’s do-everything- but-wax-your-mustache entertainment centers, with their rows of miniscule touch screen buttons only an underfed teenager can work in traffic. It was originally purchased with a recorded loan amount of $2,284.62 (Today, that would barely buy a decent set of bumpers.) and resided with its original parents for 34years. The second owner acquired it on September 3, 1990 and had a tough time parting with it since he’d known theDeSoto since new and created lifelong memories by getting married in it. Ultimately parted with it 18 years later in 2008when the DeSoto was then acquired by a private collector residing in Rochester, New York. The body is Straight and still has all of its Original BodyPanels Intact. Notice the photos of the Doors, Hood, Trunk, Engine Bay,Topside, and Undercarriage. Straight and with Original Factory Stampings and Spot Welds 100% Intact. This DeSoto has had ONE repaint and per our knowledge was A LONG TIME AGO. The Exterior was decontaminated using a deoxidizer rubbing compound, then machine finishingcompound, and finally synthetic wax for brilliant luster. You will be pleased that other than topside horizontalsurfaces showing etching and some cracking of paint due to sun and heat, the rest of the paint is in great shape. All the Chrome and Stainless Trim are also 100% Original and in Very Good Shape. Bumpers, Trunk and Hood Ornaments have Some Pitting and Etching (very common for being original) although the aged patina is a must have for originality. The Engine Bay, Firewall, and Undercarriage show how well this Beauty has survived all these years Dry and well preserved. The only spot with minimal bubbling of paint / rust is seen on the outer rocker bottom on the passenger side. Wide White Wall Tires along with Original Wheels and Covers are still the sneakers of choice for the DeSoto. Moving into the Interior you will find one of the Nicest Original Interiors you will EVER see in a vehicle of this vintage. The seats, The Dash, The Functional Gauges,Courtesy Lights,,,, Incredible Shape!!! Museum Quality! Headliner has a couple stains but that’s it! Engine and all of its Components are absolutely 100%Original! Right down to the top mounted capacitor mounted to the Generator and Oil Bath Air Cleaner atop the HEMI. Inside the Trunk you will notice the Spare Tire and Tools as well as how solid the Trunk Floor is after all these years… Not to mention the possibility of sneaking 4 people into the Drive-In via the room in the trunk. This DeSoto was Stork Delivered to Picklesimer Motors in
West Virginia where it met its family on April 7, 1956.

It was originally purchased with a recorded loan amount of $2,284.62 (Today, that would barely buy a decent set of bumpers.) and resided with its original parents for 34
years.

The second owner acquired it on September 3, 1990 and had a tough time parting with it since he’d known the
DeSoto since new and created lifelong memories by getting married in it.

Ultimately parted with it 18 years later in 2008
when the DeSoto was then acquired by a private collector residing in Rochester, New York. Thinning out his collection we at GLCC couldn't pass up on this opportunity to represent such a Great Car.

Mechanical / Cosmetic Overall Description of De Soto

At initial glance we can’t help but gawk in admiration of
the attention to quality, fit, and finish that went into building these Upscale Road Cruisers.

The body is Straight and still has all of its Original Body
Panels Intact.

Notice the photos of the Doors, Hood, Trunk, Engine Bay,
Topside, and Undercarriage.

Straight and with Original Factory Stampings and Spot Welds 100% Intact.

This DeSoto has had ONE repaint and per our knowledge was A LONG TIME AGO.

The Exterior was decontaminated using a deoxidizer rubbing compound, then machine finishing
compound, and finally synthetic wax for brilliant luster.

You will be pleased that other than topside horizontal
surfaces showing etching and some cracking of paint due to sun and heat, the rest of the paint is in great shape.

All the Chrome and Stainless Trim are also 100% Original and in Very Good Shape.

Bumpers, Trunk and Hood Ornaments have Some Pitting and Etching (very common for being original) although the aged patina is a must have for originality.

The Engine Bay, Firewall, and Undercarriage show how well this Beauty has survived all these years Dry and well preserved.

The only spot with minimal bubbling of paint / rust is seen on the outer rocker bottom on the passenger side.

Wide White Wall Tires along with Original Wheels and Covers are still the sneakers of choice for the DeSoto.

Moving into the Interior you will find one of the Nicest Original Interiors you will EVER see in a vehicle of this vintage. The seats, The Dash, The Functional Gauges,
Courtesy Lights,,,, Incredible Shape!!! Museum Quality! Headliner has a couple stains but that’s it!

Engine and all of its Components are absolutely 100%
Original! Right down to the top mounted capacitor mounted to the Generator and Oil Bath Air Cleaner atop the HEMI.

Inside the Trunk you will notice the Spare Tire and Tools as well as how solid the Trunk Floor is after all these years…

Not to mention the possibility of sneaking 4 people into the Drive-In via the room in the trunk.

This DeSoto Starts right up and takes you down the road in Comfort and Style.
