Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE For Sale: 1990 Chevrolet Blazer. Silverado package. I am the second owner of the vehicle since it was new. The unit has been in Idaho Falls ID. its entire life. The first owners purchased the truck for their 30th Wedding Anniversary in 1990. They put the first 124,000 miles on it. During that time there was no major damage done to the unit. The biggest flaw the unit had when I purchased it was the paint. Like most of the Chevy trucks from this time period the paint was heavily faded, oxidized and peeling. The interior was in very good condition.Idaho Falls has a high desert climate. Rust is not a problem for cars in this area. The reason I purchased the truck was to have a vehicle that I could take the family camping in and to go explore the back roads of our area. It has done plenty of both. It has been like a part of the family, but now the kids are older and have cooler people to hang out with than mom and dad it just sits in the shop. I hate to sell it but I just don't need it anymore. As silly as it sounds, I want it to go to a someone that will take good care of it. Exterior: The exterior of the vehicle is painted with Speed Liner. Speed Liner is a brand of truck bed liner. It has a textured finish to it. It was applied by a licensed applicator in Idaho Falls ID. This cured the 1990 Chevy paint issue. The peeling areas were smoothed out and it was professionally prepped prior to application. I can provide the contact info for the body shop that preformed the work. If the liner were to be damaged it could be re- applied by any Speed Liner dealer. It has a Yakama roof rack on Thule rails. Full factory skid plate package. New brakes and gas tank. The detachable top and below the trim line down either side is black, the rest of the unit is dark charcoal gray. Lift: The unit has a 3" leaf spring lift in front and a 3.5" block lift in back. This combo leveled the truck. The lift was manufactured and professionally installed by a local automotive spring shop. Keeping the lift less than 4" meant that all factory stock steering components could be retained. This lift is perfect for 33" tires. The truck currently has BF Goodrich 33x12.5x15 All Terrain tires in good condition with American Racing 15x10” solid rims. The unit has factory double front shocks. The shocks were replaced when it was lifted. I also installed 1.5” spacers on each side of the rear axle. This makes the rear axle the same width as the front and gives it a better look. Rear axle was recently serviced. Interior: The truck has the Silverado package. Which means it has about everything you can get in 1990 with the exception of electric rearview mirrors. The dash does have some cracks but the dash mat covers them up nicely. I replaced the seats because I wanted an armrest. I’ll have to admit these are not the most comfortable seats but they fold flat and make getting in and out of the back much easier. The radio has been replaced with a Pioneer CD player and it has a XM radio port on the dash. There are Husky Liner floor mats in the front. The carpet is in good condition with the exception of a 6x6” spot in the cargo area where a battery tipped over (see photos) . The top has never been removed. Engine/Trans: I replaced the engine and rebuild the transmission in this truck at approximately 146,000. I have all the documentation for this. There wasn’t anything wrong with either one of them other than their mileage. I had a friend who opened his own auto repair shop and needed some business so I let him do it. There are no leaks in the vehicle at all. It runs great. There is a Spin Tech muffler on the exhaust that sounds great. I have always fed it ethanol free gas. Faults: Keep in mind this is a 23 year old truck and it is not perfect. However if you are after a perfect truck this is a great unit to start with. The truck could use some fresh weather stripping around the roll down windows. The hardware is missing on the rear sliding windows. The door panels are starting to show their age. The lock in the center console is in the console but not installed. Both bumpers are dented. The dents occurred while teaching kids how to drive. There isn’t anything wrong with the truck that a few hundred dollars’ and a LMC Truck Parts catalog couldn’t fix. LMC catalog included in sale. Hopefully the pictures do it justice. Let me know if you have any questions, Tracy 208-681-4092. I will also give you the contact information to the mechanic that performed all the work on the truck for the past 10 years. Please only bid what you are willing to pay and please be sure you have your wife's permission and that all financing/money/delivery details are in order prior to bidding. I hold free and clear title to the vehicle. I can also prepare the bill of sale.
