Honda CA 160 is a 45 year old 2 cylinder 160cc that is the smaller version of the 305 dream with the same style. Mileage is unknown, but I posted the number on the odometer. It starts with the electric starter and runs smoothly after a 5-10 minute warm up using the choke and feeding the throttle. It sounds good and settles into a nice idle after warming up. The exhaust shows no smoke and the engine feels like the expected power (Honda claimed 16hp when new.) without making any unusual noises. Exhaust pipes and mufflers are very good with a gouge on the right pipe from the kick starter. It shifts nicely up and down in all 4 gears and can keep up with traffic. The clutch does not slip, but grabs close to full release. The mechanical drum brakes work as designed, but poorly by todays standards. The tires look good and are not cracking. The seat is an older reupholstery, and looks good. The paint is a combination of original and amateur repaint and looks shiny and one color all over, but not great. The chrome, aluminum, and wheels all look good but have some corrosion. Everything works including the speedometer and electricals, but the high/low beam switch is fussy. The recent work includes rebuilt carburetor; new throttle grip, handlebar cable "hinge", and cable; repaired many electrical connections that corroded or loosened over time, new battery and cables, replaced the electric starter, cleaned and treated the gas tank with POR15 sealer, new design later Honda gas tank petcock, new gas cap, new modern-technology rectifier, major tune up including new parts. Issues: It leaks some oil: several quarter sized drops from the left side after running. Drive chain is near limit of adjustment. Timing chain tensioner bolt is frozen, so adjustment is not likely. The motorcycle includes an original Honda owners manual plus a Clymer manual, and a partial original tool kit with plastic pouch. Sale to the lower 48 states only.
