1998 Chevy Corvette Black (Originally Red) 96,524 Miles (I currently drive the vehicle daily so there may be up to an additional 100 miles on it by the end of the auction) If you would like additional pictures I can email you a link to an online album. Ebay wouldn't accept most of them due to size. First off, I would like to disclose that this car was totaled out by my insurance company. A little bit of water got into the passenger floorboard while I had it parked in the street during a hard rain. The next day it wouldn’t start, so I called my insurance company and they decided to total it out because they couldn’t be sure how high the water got. Water was only in the passenger side floorboard and didn't get high enough to damage the passengers side power seats. I bought it back, took out the passenger side carpet and air dried it. Cleaned the circuit board that’s next to the fuse box in the passenger floorboard with some alcohol and the car started right up. Been driving it for the past two years since the incident without issue. This car is the most reliable car I have ever had. Runs and drives great, never had any problems with it other than the water incident. It's been my daily driver for the past 9 years and has never left me stranded anywhere. The only reason I am selling is because, being a lowered Corvette, it's not well suited as a daily driver in the winter conditions now that I live in Illinois. The car is now 15 years old and it has never been garage kept so it is nowhere near perfect condition. I have done my best to think of every possible current defect and disclose it here. -Needs a new paint job (some paint scraped off the center of the front bumper, some red from original paint job is showing through here and there, the clear coat gone on the top of the car) -Passenger side headlight motor is broken, I put it up manually. -Needs a new AC control unit for the dash, AC is not working (also took the AC belt of because of belt noise) -Driver side seat leather is in rough condition. -Check Coolant level sensor is bad, tells me to check the level every time I start it. -No air pressure sensors in the aftermarket wheels, so it tells me to servive tire moniter system every time its started. -Missing driver side floor-mat. -Fog light bulb out. -No key on the passenger side door (just an empty hole, was this way when I bought it). -Driver-side window will only go halfway down, it gets caught on something, it scratched the tint a little bit. -Tint on the back window started to peal so I pulled it off for the most part, still some pieces attached to the window. -2 Key fobs, one broken the second not working, should just need a new battery. -Radio works, CD player is not great but works with some effort, CDs stick, a speaker goes in and out like there may be a loose connection. -Could use some new weather stripping. -Power seats work, driver-side power seat will not go back after moved forward, probably a relay needs replaced but the motor still works fine. -Chip Foose Wheels (some corrosion, worst is passenger side front, front driver-side is missing its center cap) 20”s on the back and 19”s on the front -Comes with a 2004 GTO spare tire. -I get about 22 MPG around town, and get 32 MPG on highway trips according to the computer. Since the car is lowered it may be difficult to get it on a car trailer for delivery if your thinking about having it shipped. I recommend you come see the car in person before you buy. I also have the car for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction if I have a local buyer and the reserve price has not yet been met. Once the reserve price is met the car will no longer be for sale locally. I have described the car and all its know issues to the best of my ability. I'll accept payment in cash or Paypal only.
