They continued to be built until the mid seventies, continually making improvements to the cars. This gorgeous Malaga Red example is a treat to drive! Going through the gears and hearing the car rev smoothly will bring a smile to your face. These chassis are designed so well, they don't even feel like a classic car, but a modern performance sedan. With slight performance modifications this little Beemer is reliable as a daily driver or take it to the track days and autocross events. Condition Body Good engine Good Paint Excellent transmission Good Interior Average Suspension Good Wheels Excellent Brakes Good Tires 90%+ Tread A/C N/A Notes Recent respray in the factory Malaga red, which is a dark burgundy wine color which looks beautiful. This color suits the 2002 perfectly. Tan interior is overall in good condition, with one tear in the driver's seat bolster. One crack in the dash near the clock. Glass is all in good condition without scratches or cracks. Windshield has one small "star" in it smaller than a dime. Driver's door has a dent from the door opening too quickly, but no paint damage, so a body shop could repair this very easily. The paint job is good, but not show quality, more of a driver quality paint. Overall the car is in really good condition. It would be a great daily driver or weekend car. Mechanically its very strong, with a recent complete tune up (plugs, wires, cap, oil change, valve adjustment), it also has performance headers on the exhaust, and the Tii distributor for better performance. The car feels much quicker than a stock 2002, is very tight in the steering and suspension, and is a blast to drive! Brakes work great and we are replacing the brake master cylinder to increase pedal feel. Though its a used car, and not perfect, it really is in good overall shape.
