This sporty BMW 533i is a joy to drive. It starts and drives reliably and I would not hesitate taking it on a longer journey. The tires are not new but have decent tread on them, they are all seasons. The factory rims are in very good condition. The front leather seat are also in good condition, particularly the drivers side. The leather has been well condition and they offer excellent support, very comfortable. Even the factory Boss stereo and speakers work well and give this vehicle that cool retro, time capsule feeling. All gauges work. The power door locks were working fine, but I believe they will need a new fuse or an electrical trouble shooting by someone experienced with these older BMWs. The powerlocks always have been a little tricky on these older 80s BMWs, but the fix is minor. Mechanically about the only thing I can see it needing soon is a rear axle seal replacement, possibly the bearing as well. It is sweating a bit but the fluid is up to level. The engine is the best part of this car and one can tell that it has been well maintained.....it is running with Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil. The only other thing I think is worth bringing to attention is the heat blower motor....it works, but it makes a noise at times from wear and age. The air conditioning needs recharging, but blows air without noise. All around this is a very nice classic that will serve as an every day driver or as a solid base to take to the next level of vintage European retro sports sedan. All the basics are there....straight body in excellent condition strong engine and drive train. The car has jpeg pictures (and a hardcopy file) of all the records since the car was new. Very impressive maintenance history and all the original books also come with this wonderful 533i.
