Vehicle Detail
This beautiful example of a rare Triumph model is up for auction. This is a 1963 Triumph T100SS. According to factory records 332 T100SS models were made in 1963. There is a wealth of information on the Triumph "C" range at triumph-tiger-90 dot com This motorcycle was fully restored by Big D Cycle in the 1990’s. Since then it has only been ridden about 300 miles. This motorcycle was part of a private collection that was maintained and properly stored indoors. When this motorcycle was brought back to us to sell, it required minimal servicing to be back in excellent running condition. It did have a leak in the fuel tank that caused the paint to bubble. Another gas tank was sourced, cleaned, painted, and fitted to the bike. The tank is a factory original, not a reproduction. The “new” gas tank was repaired and prepped for paint by Ross Thompson. The paint on the tank is the correct color, and matches the fenders perfectly. This motorcycle uses an energy transfer ignition that does not require a battery. The ET coils on this bike are originals that are in good working order. This bike starts and runs easily. From a cold start it does like to warm up on the choke for a minute. It rides nicely and sounds great. The “bath tub” models are hard to come by stateside with all the sheet metal accounted for. Most often, the side panels were removed and tossed aside by American consumers that did not care for the styling. This motorcycle is ready to ride and show. You can see a video of the bike running below. There are several photographs that accurately portray the motorcycle’s condition. We will ship this motorcycle worldwide (except to the countries listed on our exclusion list, please click the shipping tab above this description for more information).
