Vehicle Detail

The car was featured in two magazine articles in recent years. I will include one copy of each magazine. (AutoTuning Swait - Nov 2008 and Corvette Enthusiast - Feb 2010) It was originally a base 350 car with 4-speed but it is now powered by a cammed LS1 with T56 6-speed manual transmission.  The car received a body-off restoration approximately 15 years ago. The paint was deemed acceptable, so it was left alone.  The frame and all suspension components were sandblasted, patched, welded, and painted to look brand new.  Engine swap was completed in 2004. The odometer hasn't worked for as long as I've owned the car so the true mileage is unknown. Here are some of the highlights: Body Stock body, painted black with white 12” wide stripe American Racing Ansen vintage wheels L88 hood Painted rear bumpers / chrome front The car was painted black well before I bought the car 20 years ago and would be considered “driver-quality”. The stripe was added during the restoration. The doors were repainted in 2007 after the paint started peeling. The paint on the seams on the fenders is thin, as is typical of these cars with older paint jobs. Overall, I would consider the paint a 6-7 out of 10. Heater box was removed to make room to mount PCM. Windshield wipers were removed. All parts will be included to put them back if buyer chooses. Powertrain LS1 shortblock rebuilt with new rings and bearings LS1 heads rebuilt with Comp 918 springs Thunder Racing 224/224-112 cam ARP bolts on the rods, heads, and crank Griffin radiator with twin Flex-a-Lite fans Custom built motor, transmission, and alternator mounts Z28 exhaust manifolds into MidAmerica 2.5” chambered exhaust with cutouts T56 from D&D Performance in Wixom, MI Pro 5.0 shifter with Hurst T-handle Shortened LS1 3” aluminum driveshaft 3.70 posi rear end PCM tuned using HPTuners and Innovative LM1 wideband Suspension Brake calipers and all brake lines were replaced with new VBP Dual Mount composite rear spring (adjustable height and spring rate) VBP Smart Struts Bilstein Sport shocks Polygraphite bushings throughout Manual steering Manual brakes Interior Kenwood Mask CD receiver Infinity Kappa 4x6 in dash and 6x9 in rear compartment Carpet, seatcovers, and center console all new or restored
