Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE ! This is a 1934 Chevrolet Standard 3-Window Coupe. The car is relatively complete in regards to all of the body components. This car has a clear Washington title! The body on this car is VERY nice! It has a light coat of primer over most of the main body with some light surface rust in places. Every part on this car is extremely solid. There are no thin areas anywhere nor has it ever been rusted out or had any rust repair that I can see. The body is virtually dent free. The truck and rear lower panel may be a little wavy but it is minor. The lower rear panel is coated with a thin layer of body filler. From the back side this sheet metal appears solid and rust free. It looks like maybe someone was trying to hide the factory seam at one time and did not know what they were doing. The roof is super straight and solid as is the firewall. The wood in this body is excellent for its age. The floor bracing is all there as far as I can tell and about half of the floor panels are still in place. There is no obvious stress cracking or metal fatigue anywhere. The dash in this picture has been cut but the car also comes with a near perfect uncut original dash that has been acid dipped and is bare and clean. The doors are bare metal and covered with surface rust. They have all of the mechanisms in them and the sheetmetal appears arrow straight. There is no filler or repairs of any kind. The wood is also excellent for its age. They sag a little as you can see in the pictures. The rear fenders are really nice and don't appear to have any dents or rust damage. They have been worked on (very minor) on the lower front edge where they meet the running boards. See pictures. The front fenders are covered in very old paint. They are extremely nice and solid with no visible dents or rusted areas (other than a little surface rust). The underside of these fenders are black and in really good shape. They don't appear to have ever been repaired anywhere. Even the inner splash aprons are even there. The hood is also covered in very old paint and is as nice as the fenders. The running boards are solid and straight. No visible dents or repairs. The grill is OK and the Shell is nice. There are 2 in the pictures. You may have your pick. There are headlight assemblies and maybe stands. It looks like there is one bumper. It is wavy. The front seat assembly is there and looks to be decent for a rebuildable core. The chassis is solid and straight. Someone has removed the X-Member and has cut the drivers rail to fit a steering box. It no longer has the engine or transmission. The front axle has been adapted to newer 5-Lug drum brakes and the rear end is a Ford 8 Inch. There crude ladder bars shown in the pictures are no longer on the car and do not go with it (they were junk). As far as a great starter car goes this one is as good as anyone could hope for. It is solid and straight, appears to have all of the original body components (this is not a guarantee; please refer to pictures for what is included with the car, everything that goes with it is shown), and has a clear title. I am not offering shipping for this car but am happy to help you and/or your shipper load it, and I can meet with the transport company when they come. Payment in full must be made within 3 days of the auction end unless other arrangements are made beforehand. Please feel free to contact me with any questions (509) 220-8684 Bret. The Reserve is low. Good Luck !!! Updates: 10/22/13 Someone just notified that the frame appears to be a 35 Standard. This is possible, I don't know. The title says 1934 and the car is exactly as it was when I bought it. I don't see a VIN tag.
