That translates to $31k in maintenance and repairs, $26k for installed upgrades (not including labor), and $5k in spare parts that are not installed but included with the sale. This is a “100% Options” car, meaning that every option available at the date of production was ordered. This option code shows up on the BMW vehicle record. The car has always been stored in a climate-controlled garage and does not see rain or snow. It has not been smoked in or had any pets in it. The car has only been owned, driven, and maintained by responsible middle-aged business professionals. The car has never been tracked – it’s been used as a weekend and occasional commuting car and was stored in my company’s garage when driven to the office. This car performs flawlessly and needs nothing that I am aware of – everything works as it should and it has not been in any accidents. It has been maintained by the same BMW mechanic @ Otto’s BMW http://www.ottosbmw.com/ and Devon Hill BMW www.devonhillbmw.com since I’ve owned it – no one else has touched the car for any major work. For a short time my mechanic left the dealership to work at Bavarian Specialties in King of Prussia, PA www.bavarianspecialties.com, so I took my car there so that it would continue to be maintained by the same person – this was especially important due to having the Supercharger upgrade performed. He is working at the Devon Hill BMW dealership again and has always noted that due to my obsession to keep the car highly-maintained that it performs exceptionally well and feels much newer than it is. I’ve had the car detailed every year and last month I spent ~$1k to have the entire car polished and waxed, the tint redone, and a few dents removed by Oakes detailing in West Chester, PA; http://www.oakesdetail.com. They are well known by the BMW community for their high-quality work - see this link for an example: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=380975 In addition to all of the preventative maintenance and repairs completed, there are a few things to note regarding the history of the car. In 2008, the subframe cracked - it was replaced with an upgraded and reinforced sub-frame and new sheet metal which cost $12k. The work was extremely well done by a body shop that specializes in high-end cars. Later in 2008, I was commuting through a construction area and a dump truck lost gravel when it went over a series of bumps which effectively sprayed the front of the car. The body shop opted to replace the bumper and paint the front end of the car. There was no structural damage but it was too expensive to take all of the scratches and dents out and I didn't want to end up with Bondo on the car. So, the paint isn't all original since it has been repainted, but it looks very good with the exception of the additional stone chips I've acquired from driving through our construction-heavy roads over the past 5 years. The rear bumper also has a half dozen parking-related scrapes that have been filled in with touch-up paint. There is normal wear present for a 12-year old car. After having the supercharger installed, I measured the real-world impact of the additional power by using a VBOX to record a 9.09 sec 60-130 mph time, which is almost 4 seconds faster than a Stock E92 M3 Coupe and almost 2 seconds faster than an e92 M3 with full bolt-ons. I have no desire to break up the spare parts for individual sale – please do not ask. I have most of the records for the car, from the initial 1200mi break-in visit at the BMW dealership until now and have already scanned in 75 pages that I will make available to the new owner. The car has a current PA Safety and Emissions (exempt) inspection that was completed in August. Although I’ve tried to provide as much detail as I can regarding the condition and history of the car, I’m sure I’ve missed some things – if I can think of anything else I will add it to the description. I have sold more than half a dozen of my personal vehicles on eBay since 1999 and here are a few examples of the feedback I have received - please bid with confidence: GREAT CAR.
