Thank you! 1951 STUDEBAKER COMMANDER COUPE I am pleased of offer this 1951 Studebaker Commander Coupe with the new V8. This is a unique year for Studebaker and it saw the introduction of an overhead valve V8 engine and was the last year for the bullet nose and the next to last year for the wrap around rear windows. The Studebaker that I am offering is a nice example with some unique upgrades. Of course the new V8 coupled with the 3 speed manual shift is a lot of fun to drive. Recent improvements include a carburetor overhaul, professional tuning, overhauled brakes and the replacement of all of the u joints along with the carrier bearing (the middle bearing that supports the driveshaft). When the hood is open you will see a mural of what looks like Elvis air brushed on the underside and is complete with rhinestones to add that 50’s glitter. Of course the engine compartment remains original and is well kept. The body is in nice condition with only minor flaws most of which you will see in the picture. The black finish has a nice deep shine and is free of any dents or dings. The chrome bumpers are superb as are the bumper guards save one that had some light pitting. The remaining chrome is bright and complete. Inside is unoriginal. It is more like a 53 Starliner coupe with its tuck and roll look. The trunk is clean but has an incorrect wheel. This Studebaker runs well and is a unique experience to drive. The rear visibility is great. As always if you have any questions simply email or call.
