Vehicle Detail

1969 Dodge Charger Race Car BodyNO RESERVE! Up for auction is a 1969 Dodge Charger that is nothing more than a shell and a roll cage. Granted, there are a lot of missing parts, this car is still very restorable. About 9 years ago, the body was blasted and primed. Quarter skins were installed along with rear valance and other parts. All parts were purchased from Paddock. The lower sections of the quarters have not been welded either. I'm really picky about my work, so if I were to keep this car, I would go back and re-repair some of the bodywork that was already done. But not everyone is like me and a lot of people would be glad to pick up right where the previous owner stopped. The car sat on it's rails for while and was shuffled around which dented the rear valance and corners. These are not welded in place and are only screwed together. Maybe you could straighten these areas... or maybe you want to start fresh with new parts. It's up to you. The original dash frame is included with the car which still has the original VIN plate for the car. The VIN plate matches the VIN stamped on the trunk gutter of the body. I saw the car before the restoration began and this car was originally Y2 Sunfire Yellow, black interior, 383-2 barrel, auto on the floor w/ console, and non-A/C. This shell would be great to get a big head start and finish building it into a race car.... or maybe you just want it for parts. It's up to you. The roll cage looks like a kit that you see for sale in Jegs or Summit. Flat sheet metal was welded in place of the floor. Various unused holes were welded up on the firewall. The doors look very nice and are very solid. The rear window are looks very solid, as does the roof panel with only surface rust. The passenger door has glass, the driver door does not. There is only one quarter glass (passenger side). The previous owner planned on building a 440 for the car and using a motor plate to mount it to the frame. He also planned to use all fiberglass panels for the front and the decklid. The glass was going to be lexan. He started to set up the rear end with a 4 link setup and use 15 inch wheel tubs in the rear. All of which I do not have. What you see is what comes with the car. The car still needs a lot of work and modifications to be finished... but for such a low opening bid, and NO RESERVE, you can't go wrong! This car is being sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty, no additional parts, and NO TITLE. I have had many questions on this car and the cars in the background. At this time, no other cars in the background are for sale. The red 1968 Charger will come up for sale in the next few weeks. I already have many interested buyers in that car and it WILL be sold on eBay. Please do not ask me for a Buy it Now price. The car IS NOT listed elsewhere and WILL be sold here at the end of this auction. I will not end the auction early so that you can get the car cheaper than what you expect it to sell for. There are many people interested in this car and everyone will get a fair chance to bid. If I wanted to sell it quick I would have put a "Buy it Now" price on the auction or I would have listed it locally on Craigslist. Please bid what you are willing to pay. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY! Please do not waste my time. Winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements. The body will easily load onto your trailer. I can assist with loading the car on your trailer. No negotiations on price after the auction has ended. Bid what you are willing to pay. A $200 non-refundable deposit is due within 5 days after the auction has ended. The remaining balance is due before the vehicle is released for transport. Please do not show up with a check in hand... Please mail check, with plenty of time, before you leave, or bring cash in hand. All funds must clear prior to delivery. I accept Paypal along with other forms of payment for the deposit. I will not accept Paypal for the remaining balance due to high fees. Cash is person is fine too. Thank you for looking at my auction and Good Luck!
