Up for sale is a very nice 1967 Triumph TR 4A IRS. This car has an overdrive 4 speed fully synchromesh transmission, an independent rear suspension and front disc brakes. The engine is 104 hp, 2138cc 4 cylinder with twin SU carbs. Over the last several years this car as had been nearly rebuilt. In 2011, the engine was rebuilt by a ASE mechanic with hardened valve seats so you can use unleaded fuel. It was converted to a negative ground with an alternator. The brakes were replaced and a new stainless steel exhaust was installed. The transmission was also rebuilt. In 2012, the twin SU carburetors were rebuilt including new throttle shafts. In the last year, a new wiring harness was installed along with a new aluminum fuel tank, new stainless steel fuel lines and a new sending unit. A rebuilt heater box was also installed. The top is virtually new as is the interior. The much sought after overdrive works great and there is an auxiliary fan thermostatically controlled. It has a less than 2year old signal red paint job which shows very well. Other replaced and new parts are a new dash pad and fuel pump. The ammeter has been replaced with a voltmeter. The chrome is very nice. There are wire wheels (including spare) and there is a chrome luggage rack. The tires are virtually new. All the gauges work. There is a radio but it is not connected. The engine compartment is extremely clean. Although this is a very nice car and shows very well, it is not Concours. I'm not sure of the actual mileage but it has not been driven more than several hundred miles in the last few years. Bought a river house-want a boat. Wife says cannot have both, so the TR4A must go.
