Vehicle Detail
ok here is the one you have been waiting for. found it in an old mans garage. it is a true old gasser. it raced in akron ohio. at the goodyear track I am not sure if it was called if it was called goodyear aero space race track or what. I think at the air field by the blimp hanger. it was during the 60's and early 70's. the family says they have pictures of it on the track, they are trying to find them. it is a 1930 model a coupe. it has the old square roll bar that has the heavy gussets welded in the corners. the body was slid forward 4"on the frame, I think it was to line up the rear fenders to the rear end, which is not stock. and I am not sure what it is. (it has no guts in it). it does have the early chevy motor mounts, from the front. but the radiator has been reworked for a flat head. has the stock frame and glass (all there and in good shape except drivers door). not sure what dash is in it, it just is not a model a, maybe a 32 chevy. has a decent hood and 4 new fiberglass fenders. the body is in good shape, not perfect but good, it is solid enough to put back to stock. but is better suited to leave it alone or to make it a hot rod. has hydro brakes on all 4 corners. doors are in very good shape. mustang seats. home made headlight brackets. there is a little patch work on the bottom of the body, I took a close up of this. nothing major. it rolls and steers easy. just looking at this car you can see it was for real. maybe should be in a museum some where.. no floor in trunk, but the old battery box is there. there is plenty car to make a hot rod, or vintage drag car, or you could restore it to original but I wouldn't restore it. it is too cool as an old race car. it even has the tow bar brackets in the front axel. has a good title. these pictures are all of the same car. I took them in with different options that you could go with. just with hood or top of hood, or full fenders. what ever you want. there is no running boards. what you see is all that I got. any questions feel free to contact me. come look at it you will not be disappointed.
