You are looking at one of the finest all --‐around bikes ever manufactured. Sporty enough to hang with your buddies in the twisties and comfortable enough for a cross country excursion. The sound of the gear driven cams and V4 exhaust is amazing The 5th Generation VFR is considered to be the best version of the VFR Series. Faster and lighter than the carbureted 4th Generation but does not have the pesky chain driven, VTEC valvetrain and less than stellar looks of the 6th Generation. The ’98 and ’99 are the most sought after years as they don’t have the catalytic converter of the ’00 and ’01. Although it's 14 years old, this bike is still thoroughly modern: fuel injection, linked brakes, single-sided swing arm, and the same size tires as current sportbikes. The Honda fit and finish is second to none. At 5,XXX miles, it is likely to be one of the lowest mileage 5th-Gen’s available. The Dunlop Q2 tires have 500 miles on them. The bike is completely stock except for the condom mirrors which were replaced with the Y2k version. Also included is a tank cover and tank bag. Never crashed, however, a few odd and very minor blemishes exist on the seam of the gas tank and the lower right fairing (see pic). Other than this, the tank is perfect. This bike is garage kept and well maintained. I am only selling this bike because I had shoulder surgery and can no longer ride it over long distances.
