Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 with a Chevrolet 350 Throttle Body Fuel Injected V-8. It only has 4,965 miles since the completion of a body on restoration. This was a southern truck and I purchased it out of Dallas, TX so it has all the original metal. It was painted Corvette Targa Blue just over a year ago and all new emblems from Toyota were installed as well as all new stainless steel hood latches, windshield latches and a Billet Aluminum Hood Ornament. Many upgrades in the vehicle have been done to include 4 wheel disc brakes, GM power steering, Rebuilt 1974 Toyota 4 speed transmission with a Ranger Torque Splitter for a 27% overdrive on the highway, Rebuilt 1976 4 speed transfer case, Shackle Reversal kit with 2.5" new front springs and 4" rear springs, Aluminum rims with 33X12.50X15 as well as stock Toyota steel wheels and new hub caps with 33X10.50X15 BFG KM2's, Pioneer stereo with Auxilary port, Custom subwoofer in Jerry Gas Can, Custom Gauges, Front Toyota bucket seats recently recovered with head rests, Center console (Tuffy) with lock system for storage. This is a very reliable truck and I drive it every nice day I can. It drives incredibly well with all of the upgrades and I would not think twice about driving it across country if i needed to. It gets a lot of attention at local cruise shows and I get compliments every time I drive it. It does have a few things that need attention and if I were to keep it I would add a couple of things. The Fuel Gauge reads empty at 1/4 of a tank, All the lights and gauges work but if I were to keep it, I would install a new harness. The cost of a new fuse block and harness is around $200 from Kwik Wire. I would also install a GM tilt steering column but that will be up to the new owner. Included in the sale will be the original hard top with the hard doors. They have been painted to match when the truck was painted. The bows for the Brand New OCD canvas soft top in the picture as well as the Paki vinyl reproduction Soft Top that looks like the original. I will throw in the canvas Bikini Top and vinyl soft doors too. Both sets of rims and tires go with it. I know I am leaving some things out and will update if I remember. It is a 44 year old truck and although it drives and handles like a newer vehicle, it is still 44 years old so please manage your expectations. I strongly encourage anyone interested to come and see the vehicle as I am confident you will not be disappointed. Buy it Now is $23,500.00 as it is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time without explanation. I will consider all reasonable offers and will consider trades for a '66-'72 muscle car. I am selling a very nice used truck and not looking for any new friends or pen pals. Thank You for understanding.
