First model production of Datsun 240z, manufactured in June 1970. All numbers match for someone interested in a total restoration. Runs and drives great mechanically. interior has no rips or tears. No rust on floors and has a solid undercarriage. Originally a California car, was purchased in 2002 and shipped to NY. During the time my wife and I have owned the car we put less than 10K miles on it. The floors, and trunk are completely solid, there is minor rust on the front fenders, which was started after a careless mechanic jammed a hydrolic jack under the car and bent the bottom edges. The original engine was rebuilt in approximately 2000, and the car was repainted prior to my acquisition. Interestingly it has dealership installed airconditioning. I performed only general maintenance during my ownership, New Tires, Battery, starter, master cyclinder, alternator, front brake calipers, exhaust, heater core, oil changes, etc... It has ever been in an accident or had body work done. -Engine drives well, transmission and clutch all feel superb. -Emmission air pump, and air conditioning compressor are not connected. -Previous owner installed cassette deck radio. This is currently not working, and it is missing speakers. Back speaker panel was replaced with motorsport panel.
