This what what I know on car. Purchased last July/August from gentleman who purchased from original owner's son. Original owner purchased new in 75, drove it until unable to for health reason, at which time it was left in a pole barn (date of this unknown). Owner passed in 2000 at which time some fighting between his kids put his property on hold. This was cleared up in 2004 and his oldest son got the car. By this time car had been in barn for almost 20 years, paint was bad, engine locked up/damaged, some interior pieces cracked. Son started to restore by having engine replaced. It is a 350 bored to 355 with an aftermarket cam of some kind put in. I say this because I have been around enough cars to know this engines sounds/runs like a race car. He also had it repainted. After seeing that a restoration cost more money than he planned it was sold to next person. This guy just drove it a few months before deciding he was told old to comfortably get in/out of vehicle and put it up for sale. Unfortunately, he did not sell before backing into front of car and damaging front cap. His insurance company did not want to pay to have both cars fixed so he bought it back from them and fixed it himself. There was no damage to anything other than fiberglass cap. Taped areas and small spots of over spray seem to fit with his story. Anyway, I purchased from him and started a proper restoration. Engine compartment is done. Pulled interior and put new carpet in. Checked all wiring for damage by age, pest, splices by past owner's, etc. Rebuilt passenger power window parts. Basically went about restoring in a thorough, correct way. I have the speedo/tach section of dash back in but rest is still out. Other gauges work or I have new to replace those that didn't. I have all the pieces and they are in excellent shape or new from where I purchased replacements. Tires are new. Body and frame are perfect. Car starts, idles, runs beautifully, and drives but no tags or insurance make illegal to drive on street. I drove it when purchased then put on trailer and owner took tags off. I have title in hand. I am selling do to same problem most people run into which is more desire than money to spend. I am interested in offers. I will not give this car away after seeing what cars with much higher mileage are selling for on eBay. Please email with any questions or offers. Driver's window tracks need cleaned, re-lubed, and adjusted. Both interior door panels need replacing. Seats are cracked but covers can be put on for now. A/C unit was not put on after engine rebuilt. Needs seat belts. Interior needs to be put back in.
